Contrary to some other reviews on the net regarding the Jardin Del Mal I must say that both my myself and my wife found everything about it to be absolutely superb. On our arrival we were greeted by a receptionist who could not have been more pleasant and mannerly which in my book was a really good start. Our room was a good size very clean with a huge balcony and had sun on it until approx 6pm. We were lucky with the room though as I think the side view rooms would not be as good certainly as regards the sun and also view,i.e book a frontal sea view. The rooms were cleaned daily and the maid was very mannerly. The location is good being away from the noisy part of town. All in all we found this hotel excellent and as far as our holiday was concerned would have no hesitation in giving it a really good recommendation.

Worth paying the extra money for a sea view - fantastic view over the pool and the bay. Would go back there again, mainly for the location and view. If the children got bored, there was a little stoney cove beach area just beside the pool where they could snorkel and climb rocks! Although the rooms were basic, they were fine, but didn't use full use of the cleaner as we never got up until midday!!! Children didn't get too bored either as there was table tennis, volley ball, and some (but not all day) children's activities run by a member of staff - children's golf etc for the younger ones, 10 + rifle shooting/archery and darts and the adults could also have a go at all these too! Hotel staff friendly. On our last day although the hotel wasn't full they still wanted extra to stay in our room longer, so we declined thinking we would use the gym. When it was time to leave asked for the gym keys and because someone was in there already, they ended up giving us room to get ready in and we came away 36 euros richer by not paying the extra money in the first place!!!

Check in was quick and smooth. Our rooms though sea view were on the first floor so not very good view of the sea. When trying to get a better room was told that hotel fully booked so nothing could be done even though we booked 6 months in advance. Have previously stayed here twice before and never had any problems which is why we returned. This time just got unlucky with this room. Bathroom light did not work, though got fixed next day, telephone didn't work, patio doors were stiff and got stuck. The patio area was ok but the chairs were filthy. This time didn't use any of the hotel facilities as we didn't take our kids away. Used it as a base and went to the beach every day. It was lovely. Great Restaurants around such as Manolos and Meson Del Mar(with sea view) and loads of bars. Great 5 day break.

we had a lovely stay but would have liked hair dryers and pads on the pool beds which were very uncomfortable especially when you have to kill time before a flight. Also one lift was broken and then thugs broke the other lift and as we were on the 6th floor and elderley this was not good. Mrs B Stevens

The complex is situated at the top of the town close to the square, bars. restaurants and shops. A short walk by the sea or shops to the main areas and beach. You can party away in the centre and come back to the peace and quiet of Jardin Del Mar. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were cleaned 5 days out of seven. There are both a kids and main pool with lifeguard until 8pm. No nonsense taken by lifeguard although friendly. Plenty of sunbeds bu you need to be early. Supermarket and shops at front of complex and a deli with fresh baguettes directly facing front doors. Free entertainment in square every night from 8.30 - 11.30 good value.

I found the Reception staff extremely rude and difficult to deal with. I had to get extremely annoyed before a Manager came to the front desk to help us out. Eventually we got looked after and ended up getting a lovely 2 bed Family Room which suited us perfectly. On the whole I would reccommend these apartments but be prepared that you may have a fight on your hands to get the room you requested / paid for. The Life Guard at the Pool was very attentive and the Pool bar was well stocked. The evening entertainment is not much worth talking about but as Spanish Square is literally across the road the Entertainment is looked after there.

the hotel jardin del mar is a very clean hotel, the facilities in the rooms are basic but ample. if you are self catering because you like to cook then dont go here, however the 2 hot plates providede are ample to boil the kettle or boil eggs etc. fridge is spotless and looked new. safe in room, cleaers visited daily.the pool area is lovely with excellent views across the bay and the pool is kept clean . on the downside there are only a limited number of sunbeds in comparison to the amount of rooms. the surrounding area is a major plus as the hotel is right next to the square which provides free live entertainment every night may to october and is perfect for the kids aswell as adults. if you like the livelier nightlife its only five minutes walk, as is the beach. all in all the jardin del mar is in my opinion a good choice for quality at a not too expensive price. one important piece of advice, pay the extra for the sea view otherwise you will be looking at a walkway from your balcony.
