The hotel is in a perfect spot, just 100m from the beach and right in the middle of the main street with plenty of shops. The hotel was very clean and the rooms cleaned and beds changed daily. We went half board, I wish I hadn't as the food was hit and miss. The breakfast very poor, and some nights delicious pasta or rice dishes. On others nothing but fish full of bones and soggy salad. The reviews I read of the area before leaving, said that calla millor was all German populated. However I was prepared to go as the place looked so lovely. The hotel is a German hotel, we were the only English family in it! And I found the other guests ignorant. We did not speak a word of German, and although some of them understood our English, they would act like they didn't. I had my kids aged 8 & 6 . The hotel does not cater well for kids, food wise , entertainment wise, or liesure wise. On a night there was very little for the kids to do. The entertainment in the hotel was a Dj who was a very funny man, but only played German disco music and also spoke fluent german. We spoke to a few familys on the beach and they were staying at the top nearer to cala bonna, where the travel agents in britan place their travellers. On a night we felt there was plenty to do for young revellers, but not familys. We would get a taxi to Sa Coma most nights which is better for kids. I wish we had stayed there instead! although Cala Millor is a lovely place it is indeed "Little Munich" More >> |
