We booked for a girlie weekend and four of us shared an apartment, 2 in twinbedroom, 2 on single beds ( a guest bed/settee). We used room to nap, wash etc, kitchen facililties all there, plenty of pots although we didnt use them. Shower odd beast, it tended to trickle down the wall sometimes. Big towels a bonus. Balcony overlooked pool area which was very clean. Tho I do find it bizarre that we had to pay 2 euros each for a sunbed at the pool, even tho we've already paid for the accommodation. We had breakfast there one morning and it was good, so no need to wander off on the traditional English breakfast search. Downside was poolside food not served all afternoon, but that was because we arrived towards end of season. In August etc wdnt be a problem. Cala D'Or is lovely, if you've never been, it's got loads of good shops and plentiful restaurants in a kind of piazza layout. Very clean, no noisy Booze Blokes (or Birds) very much a family place. But karaoke bars etc if you want to have a change of pace. Which we did. Hotel a few mins walk from the centre and one of Cala D'or's coves. The coves are v pretty to look at but even on last weekend in Sept were cramped with folk, as there is so little space. Id stick by pools. Weather was very good despite time of year (but bad showers previous weekend to us). We had a fab time, and wd have no probs recommending hotel, but not one to book year after year. It did the job, was value for money, and we had fun. Enjoy your trip!! More >> |
