Booked this hotel last minute, only 3 star so not expecting miracles but excellent. The staff were very accommodating, the atmosphere relaxing and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel. In fact, it is a hotel we would go back to. The chain also have a 4 star hotel in Cala D'Or, so I'm wondering about that one........... More >> |

We were very impressed with the hotel and facilities, the food was excellent, very good choice both for breakfast and evening meal.
Staff were very accommodating and polite. The weather was very wet, but we had a great time, and we are looking at returning next year and hope we have better weather.

The hotel is very nice although the room we stayed in was a little tired but very clean, the food was very good at breakfast you got everything from bacon to cold meats to cakes so there was something no matter what you liked the pool was clean and the surroundings were nice there was a back gate that lead to the promanard which in turn was next to the beach and harbour it to about 1 min from the pool to the sea, You are quite close to the airport but the noise from the planes didnt seem to bother us everybody made you welcome and there are some great fish resturants in the harbour we would definatly stay there again More >> |

As has been stated; it is not a young person’s hotel. I gathered from my stay, that the Spanish Government contribute, 80% to a fortnightly holiday for senior citizens. Other governments should consider the same!
Whole I had a lovely view of the sea; the only downside was that I could hear people talking as they were walking along the promenade. Perhaps they would consider double glazing the door and windows that lead to the balcony. I would most definitely think of returning. More >> |

| This is not a hotel for young people looking for lots of night life, it is a perfectly comfortable base for sunbathing walking cycling etc. We were made very welcome with a good quality of service. |

Before we arrived I had a friend check the booking and to ask if we could have a 1st floor room, as my 4 year old son is autistic, and they weren't aware I had made a booking that included my son. So they had to quickly fit a spare bed into the room. The staff were not at all friendly or helpful. Sitting by the pool one lunch time feeling peckish I asked at the bar if I could order 3 rolls and was practically shouted at that the machine wasn't working.
I told the waiter I was only asking and his reply was he had already told somebody else that it wasn't working- and I was supposed to know this??
So we never asked again. We'd order drinks and were always given them from a machine and they were always flat. The food was of avarage quality( we ate 4 dinners and 1 breakfast over the 2 weeks). We could say there were 2 waiters and 1 cleaning lady who were friendly. The pool had a number of tiles that were falling off both in and out. The tiles around the pool were very slippery and around the pool and the sunbeds were never hosed or washed down and as a result of some windy days there was a thin layer of red dust that when you came out of the pool wet it was like a mud that stuck to you and your items. 3 days the dust was left on the sunbeds without being cleaned. Still trying to get the stains off the towels and the beach bag. Sorry to have to say this but the Hotel Alexandra is 1 hotel I'll not be visiting again. More >> |
