Any request was attended to very promptly, and we were made to feel very welcome as we arrived, and there was a pleasant farewell as we left. Our room at the rear of the Hotel was clean and quiet with an excellent shower. Other visitors thinking of using this Hotel should exit the Metro at "Anton Martin". situated outside of the Hotel. All the attractions were within a few minutes walking distance of the Hotel, with plenty of eating places around the corner.
Breakfast was superb with an extensive choice of food, serving until 11.00 am. All in all, an excellent and efficient "city break" Hotel. Read Less

The hotel rooms were very comfortable, staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was excellent - we didn't use the room service meals so can't comment. The hotel's location is perfect for sightseeing - most of the major places of interest are within walking distance and we enjoyed exploring the streets and eating places. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hotel Tryp Atocha to anyone visiting Madrid. Read Less

I was very happy with our choice in hotels. It was very centrally located. We were only a stroll away from the Sofia Gallery, Botanical Gardens & the shops! The room was a little small, but very nice & clean. There was also a Metro Station right outside and although we had to change 3 times, it was very straight forward to get to & from the airport and took less than 40 mins. The room also had a safe, which was very handy. Plus the buffet breakfast was delicious with lots to choose from. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Read Less

We had a room on the ground floor to the rear. It was very quiet there and sleeping was helped by the good air con.in the hotel.
I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel for its great location close to all the major art galleries. Read Less

The Hotel Staff were excellent considering they had to deal with a large party of American students who tried to eat or take away the fantastic breakfast laid out for guests.
The Hotel is situated in an ideal place for shopping, galleries, lovely squares, fantastic old bars and eating places - where you will receive a free tapas- whilst you decide if you are just having a relaxing drink or a few more tapas or a delicious meal.
The nearby Atocha railway station is worth a visit, it has it's own botanic gardens inside the station foyer. Read Less

It would have been nice to have coffee making facilities in the room and although the noise between rooms was very good. The street noise was very loud, cars horns sounding to 2am and starting again around 6am. This is only a problem if you are at the front of the hotel.
Overal the price we paid for the standard of room, location and helpfulness of staff was very good. You could pay a lot more for a lot less. Read Less
