Was aware from the police notice outside the hotel that kerb crawlers would be prosecuted!! From this we were told from the taxi driver that it was a well known area for the 'red light district' hence the taxi home from our night out.(didn't want to walk from the tube) Very very small room, but good value for money and breakfast was good. Broken remote, coffee in a thermos in weak non heat resistant plastic cups in reception. There was no hotel information in rooms and the toilet crammed up against a wall and hard to use. the room was tiny. Ironing had to be done in a corridor with an iron that had a burnt base. For 60.00 a night thats pretty rubbish. Read Less

Our room was at basement level with no external window - our window opened onto the basement lobby of the hotel. We also seemed to have a luggage storage room overhead, as all we heard all day and all night was luggage being dragged back and forth, doors being slammed and people stomping around.
The room itself was tiny, just about had room for a double bed - it was a struggle for 2 people to fit in it.
The TV had 3 channels none of them with decent reception.
There was no air-conditioning and because we had no external window, there was no fresh air and the room was like an oven.
Location was great - but the standard of the rooms was very very poor. Read Less

Rooms were clean but very small. Our curtain pole fell down after our first night and as it couldn't be fixed (?) we had to spend our second night in another room which quite obviously was a smoking room as it smelt like an ashtray. Breakfast wasn't the best and the reception staff weren't particularly friendly. Especially the man who covered the reception on the Saturday night. We didn't get a particularly friendly welcome when we came back to the hotel. On the positive side it is in a good location for Central London and at a reasonable price. However, people who stay there should be aware that you are right in a middle of a "red-light disctrict" so you will need to be pretty open minded - and careful -when out at night. Read Less
