When we stayed for only one night we were given a very small room which was stuffed with three twin beds. It felt like a hostle but clean and private.
On a return visit we stayed for three nights and were given a wonderful room, perhaps same footage but with a good double bed and a much better bathroom and a balcony. It was quite charming in fact. On both occassions the staff were friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was nicely presented and fresh.
We would return. << Click here to read less

Prince William hotel is located in a very nice area, 3 mins walk from Paddington station, 5 mins walk from Hyde park, 10mins from Marble Arch as well.
The problem was in the room, too small to be " Double Standard", the room was an average in the cleaning, the Bath is small but clean.
TV was not working properly, and the more important the Telephone was not working as well...I have asked the receptionist to fix the phone problem at least, and I have stayed for four night with no action.
In general it is average for any one wants to reduce the transportation time, and need just to sleep in a hotel.
The quality does not equal to the price at all...I would recommend the Royal Eagle hotel which I noticed in the same street. << Click here to read less

The room was poorly configured with the bed right at the door making for a very tight fit for two! We advised management that all they had to do was re-arrange the furniture, including the free standing closet. Other rooms appeared to have better layouts of their furniture. Bathroom was new and clean. The elevator (lift) was too small to accommodate more than 3 people..... without luggage!! Location was excellent for tube connections. The room we got was very small and had plumbing problems, there was hot water coming out of the cold water tap and the bed was very small and springs popping up. This was not what we had paid for! The internet connection was not-existing, the window frame(s) were rotten, the room was very, very small, the "bed" was not recommendable to anybody, the all-over impression of the hotel was "perceptibly worn-out". We have spent really a very good weekend at this hotel. Receptionists are so nice, and breakfast is quite good. The only thing I think they must do better is cleanliness about windows, courtins, and so, though beds and bath are very clean. The location of the hotel is it's biggest advantage. 2 minutes from Lancaster Gate tube station, and right across the street from Hyde Park. However the hotel itself didn't live up to my expectations. The entrance is below average, the stairs and reception desk are very old and are in serious need for some renovation, the room itself is good, though. I guess the rooms have been refurbished. TV (but no remote), nice, clean bathroom, the regular facilities. However the rooms are a bit noisy, I guess the windows need double glazing to reduce the noise from the street. As for the breakfast it wasn't that impressive, but I guess it's average for this price range, toast, cheese, butter and jam, as well as coffee and juice.
My fnal verdict is: It's a nice, averagely priced hotel in an excellent location, but next time I might look around first before booking there again. << Click here to read less

this is a very basic hotel, and not reccommended for longer than a nights stay. The room only just fit in a double bed, which had awful bedding. No duvet (woke up cold) only two paper thin pillows for two people (ie one each) Was very uncomfortable andsuffeed a slight stiff neck the next day. And i am sure there was even a slight stain on the bedding, what it was, i did not like to hazard a guess. Paint peeling off walls. One curtain (which i think once belonged to a pair) hung on a string in the center of the window, thus could not be pulled in either direction and left two big gaps at either side.
TV had bad reception and no remote. The kettle provided, did not have a wire to reach the plug socket. walls quite thin, could here noise,(tv) from next door.
Good point was the bathroom, although very small, was clean and nice and newly decorated.
Staff were polite.
I have never said this about any where else, but i would never stay at the Prince William Hotel again. I was in room seventeen, i do not know what any of the other rooms were like. They could have been better.
In fact staying here has inspired me to perhaps splash out a little more next time, for a bit of luxury as it would probably be worth it. I paid ?54 for a double room for two people for one night, which was ?54 pound too much!! << Click here to read less

Friendly customer service staff, grumpy resturant staff!
We had bed bugs and were both bitten quite badly and are still suffering with the itching now. We changed rooms and that seemed to solve the problem although it is so important to deal with this problem instantly and correctly. They should of offered and encouraged us to wash all our clothes before maybe transfering them to another room. This problem spreads quickly and is extremely unpleasant.
Other than this we had a very pleasant stay, thank you. << Click here to read less

Dear Sirs,
Many thanks for your concern. Unfortunately, we did not stay in the Prince William hotel, despite being charged for the rooms, since we considered the conditions not suitable for a 3 diamonds hotel and not compatible with the price charged. Right after arriving to the hotel, when my sister-in-law entered her room she started having an allergic reaction, which provoked an increasing breathing difficulty.
We decided to move to another hotel right in front, which was much better and only slightly more expensive. The main problem we found was with the cleanliness of curtains and duvet, besides the very small size of the rooms.
Is there a chance that we get some refund of the amount charged from our credit card? We do agree in paying for any reasonable administrative cost incurred in the booking process, but would appreciate your consideration to our decision, which was based on uncontrolled circumstances.
Sincerely Yours,
