I would personally advise Rooms.net.com to dissociate itself with the Garden View Hotel on Nevern Sq Earlscourt London. The place should not be called an Hotel, let alone a B&B OR even a boarding house.
We arrived at 1.00pm on the 8th Aug ,after a long flight and trip from Heathrow on a hot and thirsty summers day, where we were told that we could not check in until 2.0pm. This we understood as it is a policy in many establishments, so we asked for our luggage to be placed in storage and requested to use a restroom. We were told that they do not have General Restrooms and that we should wait until we check into our room an hour later to use a toilet. My wife was desparate but was told by a very surley receptionist that there was nothing she could do.
On check in we found our room to be a tiny, poorly ventilated , dusty, excuse for an hotelroom. The carpets and bedcovers were stained. Although I must admit that the sheets were clean. The toilet and shower wwas a tiny addition in one corner of the room, with a door that could not open and close easily.
We asked reception to supply us with a fan as there was no airconditioning ,but received a rather hostile reply that we should sleep with open windows. There were 3 other guests also complaining about their rooms at that time.
We had just come back from a wonderful holiday in Hawaii and California and decided to spend 2 days in London, what and end to awonderful holiday.
We had booked and paid online,so it would have been a schel Read Less

Its a 2 star hotel so i didnt expect too much nice clean room with shower tv and radio alarm clock. Very pleasent surroundings in a nice quiet area and it was convenient to Earls Court Exhibition Centre where I was going for a concert. Breakfest was also included which was great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone on a short stay in London. Read Less

Very friendly staff and the place was clean, but I wasn't happy that I had to negotiate stairs, when I walk with a stick (and told them this, before I went) and that it was so hot, and there was no air cond.
I would stay again, though

The room was extremely tiny. If we were large people, we would not have fit. It was a quiet, convenient location. The breakfast was stricktly a cold, cereal type of meal with no protein, but hot tea and toast. We had a pleasant stay and felt fortunate to get a booking in on such short notice.
