I fell victim to a last minute desperate search for a1 night stay in London. Since I was a late arrival and was checking out early next morning, location and price were important to me. What I did not imagine was that the room did not have any heat. How is that possible in 5-degree celsius nights? Didn?t they have the same problem with the previous customer? If so, they could have very well repaired the heating or arranged for a portable heater!!!! None of that. Only extra sheets were offered...Needless to say, I woke up with symptoms of having a cold!!
It was evident to me that this EXTREMELY small room at the ground floor was designed to be offered for the 44 GBP I payed. The breakfast was quite basic and I should say that this hotel should be rated as a low scale b&b. The staff was helpful, but again, it was quite clear to me that they knew the heating did not work. For that reason, I would not reccomend a stay in this hotel as it is obvious that maintenance is not key. Read Less

This is OK if you are on a budget. It is cleanish and securish. Not for the paranoid, but OK for a place to rest your head.

i didn't get what i paid for ..i belive that the price was for high for what you get..the room smelled like old mold and the t.v and heater were not working very well. i friend of mine that lives inlondon came to visit and the hotel staff was a little to conscernd .. pretty much made it seem as if he wasn't welcomed to be there .i also had a staff member open my door with out knocking or a phone call i heard my door rattleing and saw the door nob turning. and when someone is in a forin country, one doesn't knows what to think...the beackfast is your tipical cont. breakfast but there by the table they have a sign that states that you are limited to how much one can get for example, what i recall the sign said was that you are intiteld to only 2pcs of toast and one cup of coffee the..the dates on the butter packages were expired...the butter had been expired since some time in febuary..the coffe smelled funny, and the milk for the cereal was hot. i paid about98.00 pounds wich comes out to about 200.00 us dlrs for that price i may as well had stayed at a real commercial hotel.. the only good thing about the hotel is that it was close to the tube station. as soon as i got to the hotel i started to look for another one which i found the name is "mowbray court hotel" @ earls court. the rooms are not fancy but they are clean and the staff is very very nice and friendly and are very attentive the price was about 20 to 30 pounds more but well worth it Read Less

I had a dreadful experience at this hotel, about the breakfast. I woke up on 13 January looking forward to the breakfast only to be asked by a an extremely rude lady if I had asked for Continental or English Breakfast. First she wanted to know what room I was. After hesitation I said Room 11. Then she said I would not be entitled to breakfast because the room 11 was not on the list. I crossed over to number 60 where the attendant agreed to come with me to number 109. It is the very first time in my over 30 years of travelling and as a human rights lawyer that I felt humiliated. According to the attendant, "the lady did nothing wrong". Otherwise, although I was refused breakfast which I was rightly entitled to, the lady was still right to humiliate me.
So, I will not recommend anyone, especially the immediate family members and friends, to ever use Exhibition Court Hotel. I believe in the principle of the customer is always right. It seemed that neither the lady in the breakfast nor the attendant are aware of this principle. Read Less

Room was very small but clean and had everything we needed. However, it is worth pointing out that there is no lift and about 5 flights of stairs to climb! We didn't really mind that, but what does let this hotel down is the breakfast room. We ate our breakfast in what can only be described as a junk cupboard. We had paid for a full english breakfast but ended up just having self-service toast as there was no one serving - and we drank orange juice out of plastic pint glasses! Overall though, it was a good price for London (we paid ?55) and close to Earls Court. Read Less
