The rooms were not very clean, we had to take an alternative room across the road due a handicapped person taking our original room, compensation was "full engish breakfasts free", my wife couldn't eat the food, which was baked beans/an egg/some sort of sausage and most peculiarly cooked "bacon". We will not return to this hotel, although the proprieter was good natured. We booked a taxi through the hotel and got charged almost double what a London cabbie wold have charged Read Less

VERY VERY FILTHY. DO NOT STAY HERE.
This is honestly the most dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed at.
How can a place as filthy as this even be called a hotel.
It was so dirty we took photos and when we spoke to the manager he became VERY nasty to us and called us racists!!!
It really is not a place to stay unless you want to get ill.
I complained and showed the photos to RoomsNet and they refunded me the money.
When i told people about how filthy the place was they thought i was going OTT until i showed them the pics.
It really has to be seen to be beleived but i would not suggest you go at all Read Less

What a disgusting hotel, in fact I feel they have dropped a letter from their title and it should read HOSTEL. I am not a snob but I wouldn't let a tramp stay here. It as dirty, smelly, poorly lit, the toilet practically overhung the shower unit in the 'cupboard' which would never qualify as a bathroom. And when we said to the receptionist it was a poor room he just shrugged his shoulders as if to say 'what can you do about it'. So we left immediately went two doors away to the Hamilton House and for a few pounds (#28) more we couln't believe the difference. Fantastic at the Hamilton House. Strike the Tudor off your list - it's a flop house.

Noisy windows towards the street. Several irritating examples of low quality: Electricity adaptor lent by the reception turned out to not function, elctricity outlet poorly fixed in the wall (!), TV set showed only one colour (bright green) and remote control was out of batteries. When some of this was mentioned at check-out, the staff had no mandate to even compensate by e.g. cancelling the fee for WiFi connection. The management has not had the decency to answer e-mail with points of view. Read Less

When I first arrived tthe man on reception told me I could sop in a ground floor room instead of the one I was going to have as I had a lot of bags. He then took me into a room which was already occupied which I found dodgy and the entire hotel stunk of dope (marijuana). I was then asked to leave my key at reception which I was not keen on as I had already been took into someone else room!
In the morning I had a continental breakfast. The food was good although the dining room was not the cleanest I have ever been in.
The one thing I cannot fault was the staff. They moved my room to save me walking upstairs with my bags and then helped me carry them to my oom. They also carried them out of reception and down the stairs when I left and the dining room staff wee helpful Read Less
