We are very happy with our stay in London. The hotel was located 50 metres far from the underground, so it was very easy to travel around London. The central line gets you to the centre just in 5 minutes, so this was fastastic!
According to the hotel I have nothing special to say. The only problem I can mention is that we booked a double room, but in our arrival there were no double rooms available, so we were offered a double room. It was not really a problem, but it is difficult for me to understand how could this happen if we had made our booking 2 months in advanced!
The room is quite small and the bathroom is tiny, but we had read some reviews about the hotel and we knew where we were going. The heating was perfect, it was really comfortable to get into the room and having such a nice temperature as outside was freezing ( I heard that is has been the coldest easter in 40 years ).
Breakfast is o.k! Not a great variety but enough, some toasts, cereals, milk, juice...
The room it's not great but I think that it is enough for travellers going to visit London and only need the bed to sleep (as the rest of the day you are walking around London and you get exhausted to the room ).
Although the hotel was o.k for me, I would like to say that we are not used to pay this prizes for these type of hotels. I know that the life in England is quite expensive and especially London is very expensive, but you can get much more better hotels in other countries for these prize. Read Less

While showering the water was coming higher and higher, not realizing that it was leaving to the room. When I finished the whole carpet was wet. I went to the service desk that there was a problem with the drains. They were unhappy but sent an service man. He made de carpet dry. But I told him that there is a problem with the drains. No he said. You should put a towel in front of the door before starting to shower. (they ask normally 75 pound for a single room). I got another room with a lot hesitation. AN Nur I will never come back tot your bad service and quality. Read Less

My room was small and cramped; the bathroom was tiny; cleanlines was dubious; the breakfast selection was limited and worst of all the only lift was unserviceable - it looked like it had been that way for a while and there was no obvious attempt being made to repair it - too bad if your room was on the 5th floor. I won't be recommending it to my friends. Read Less

The hotel was very dingey, the whole place needs a good clean, a repaint and reacarpetting. The room was poor and very dark. Pokey little toilet and shower facility, there were no tea or coffee making facilities. There was a desk lamp but the lead was not long enough to reach the electric socket and the carpets were stained and dirty. The small tv on the window ledge only played classic fm radio!! I paid #50 for this and it was pathetic, I am just pleased I did not pay the #75 they advertise a single room for in the reception. Any chance of a refund? Read Less

It is a very simple and affortable hotel but you shouldn't expect anything else but a clean bed to sleep in. You can't open the bathroomdoor without banging it to the toilet and it is very old and dirty. The carpet is too dirty to walk on with bare feet. The breakfast is too simple and the coffee old. We used to call it the "I'm Poor Hotel". But the staff is extremely friendly and the location is perfect. Just 2 min. walk to the nearest tube, walking distance from Notting Hill (very nice) and just opposite Hyde park which is great for relaxing and drinking beer. Read Less
