Very pleased with my stay in this hotel. Easy to spot the hotel from outside the DLR Heron Quays station, nice quiet weekend location. Friendly staff, all the facilities you need and a few more besides. Decor getting a bit dated now but not bothered about that! Good view from the window. I would definitely stay again if I got the same price deal! More >> |

Very comfortable hotel. Excellent location. We went for shopping, and although the hotel is very near Heron Quays Dockland Light Rail station (which connects with the tube service) AND very close to Canary Wharf DLR/Tube station, we were delighted to discover that there is a massive shopping centre under the stations and general plaza areas. On top of this there is a brilliant selection of bars and restaurants. We never actually left the Canary Wharf area as everything we needed was within a five to ten minute walk from our hotel. Be aware that the hotel has a restaurant proper and a pizzeria. Restaurant closes at ten, and pizzeria at eleven. We made the mistake of eating in the pizzeria as we arrived quite late and were very disappointed with it. Food was not of great quality or taste and definitely not worth the money. Can't comment on the restaurant as did not eat there. If I was going there again, I would stop at one of the restaurants along the boardwalk before checking in as we had a great experience with that. We were very pleased with the hotel in general, it was clean, comfortable and the staff were very helpful to us. There is a swimming pool etc but we were too busy shopping to use it! More >> |

| We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Good food in the restaurants and plenty of facilities. The mattress on our bed was a bit lumpy though! |

| Very good value for money. Great location near DLR. Quite noisy until about midnight when the wedding disco ended, but then enjoyed a very peaceful night. Would stay again. |

on arrival the hotel looks very impressive from the outside, but I have to say once inside I found it to be very dated, which was a shock being in the heart of Canary Wharf you would expect it to be modern and fresh. The rooms were clean and well serviced but the decor left alot to be desired most of the areas were dark with over bearing busy carpets and curtains with swags. The staff were helpful although you would be hard pressed to find one that spoke English properly.
I definitely wouldn't grade this hotel 4 star and hope it gets a make over very soon. More >> |

sadly to use the swimming pool and gym, you have to become a member at £5 per person and then pay £2.50 per visit, so an extra £7.50 just to have a swim seems a bit excessive, Canary Wharf shops and places to eat close at 5pm on Sundays, so there's nothing else to do there location wise, all bars and restaurants at hotel where empty, so no buzz or atmosphere. The thermostatic control to operate the air conditioning in the bedrom didn't work. It was too hot
The hotel has seen better days, as shown by the wear on the carpets.
The staff didn't appear concerned about quality customer service, though they were polite when you could get their attention.
Hotels on the continent of the same standard offer a better continental breakfast, with more variety of cold meats, cheeses, etc. More >> |
