very hot in room, but better than being cold!!! close to glouster rd tube which is easy to use and not busy. but with plenty of resturants and hotels to eat in. 84% 10-Nov-2008

I would not stay in this hotel again, My first room had the window chained shut and the skirting board around the room was missing , also the room was small and smelled bad, After a "debate" with the desk attendant he agreed to change our room,(This guy did not see the safety issue with the window )This room was even smaller the radiator was not adjustable as the bedroom furniture was against it, also there was a pair of under pants and socks that a previous tennant had left hanging from the lamp shade. The trip was only for 2 days so I stayed put, I also witnessed a lot of people complaining at the desk about issues with phones and bathrooms

A very convenient hotel for tube stations, pubs and restaurants. The continetal breakfast at the hotel was excellant, and the staff were all very nice and friendly. If I stayed there again I would book a double room purposley for more space the single occupancy was very small. The downside was the Televison reception which was very poor.

Only booked in for 1 night but for the money it was very reasonable. Bed was comfortable and room and bathroom were clean. Plenty of choice for continental breakfast but we were a bit disappointed with our cooked breakfast - I would use it again if needed though.

THe service at this hotel was horrible. When we arrived we were told the hotel was overbooked and we were to stay at another hotel in a different area (Bayswater). When we arrived there the receptionist had not been informed of our coming, treated us with suspicion and finally told us there was no twin room (which I had booked) available so we'd have to stay in a double room. Only when I refused he made another phone call and gave us two singles instead. The rooms were horrible, located in the basement with a small window below street level, noise from tube trains passing and a foul smell coming from the kitchen which was on the same floor. The breakfast was disgusting, and cooked breakfast was not included in the room rate. All in all a bad experience. The RoomsNet call centre was (surprise) busy so i was put on hold for 10 mins and as this was an expensive call I decided to hang up. I'll never use this service again.

The hotle is in a great location. The rooms are very small and basic. The staff were helpfull. I would stay here again, however i would request a roon to the back of the hotel as the room i stayed in was on a very busy main road and very noisy at night.

Several minor points to mention about the double room provided: no dustbin (but litter was removed by cleaning personel), bedside lamps out of order, low water pressure in the shower. Towels were replaced daily. The hotel is located in a rather noisy street (especially at night). It is easy to find from Gloucester Road tube station (less than 5min), where good shopping facilities are available. Guests with pre-paid reservation are required to deposit 20£ in cash, a rather high amount in my opinion. Continental Breakfast was ok, although you shouldn't go too late, because they don't replenish the buffet towards the end. Breakfast time is untill 10a.m. and 11a.m. Sundays. My first stay in London: prices are high, and this hotel was just what we needed.
