We enjoyed our stay and were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel so close to Paddington station, and within walking distance to Hyde Park and even a leisurely stroll to Marble Arch and Oxford Street. The Big Red Bus had a stop on the street which meant we didn't have far to go to catch this for sightseeing. Breakfast was good, as you could have as much as you wanted, but the coffee was never hot enough (my only criticism). The concierge was alway friendly and helpful and I would stay here again, even though the room was small and the bathroom miniscule!!! but then I was told to expect this in London so can't complain. All in all a pleasant stay. Cheers

The rooms that you had provided for us, was extremly poor and bad, there was no heat in the rooms and it was not until the last day we were there, that you finally provided the rooms with heat. The only thing you provided us with when there was no heat, was only two blankets, which we are really unhappy about. We told the staff about the problems serveral times without any luck. Breakfast was very good, it was what we had been told about.

Taking into account that this is a budget hotel it offers very good service. the breakfast is quite sufficient if one does not expect an English breakfast and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious enough and clean. Because of the warm weather and no air conditioning we had to leave our window open at night, but we did not find the sound of traffic or passersby disturbing at all. We will definitely stay at Alexandra again and recommend it to others.

This is a standard tourist class hotel. OK as such, but starting to see some fatique. Excellent placed in nice surroundings and only 3 minutes walk to the Paddington Tube. Perfect. 8 minutes walk to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. 10 min. to Oxford Street. Can be recommended. You will get what you pay for.
