We visit London 2/3 time per year and this Hotel is one of the best so far for the Price we paid for a Triple. We have stayed few times in Thistle Royal Horseguards, Selfridges and Hydepark Hotels. The price of the room we pay there is three time more and apart from a bigger room and buffet english breakfast its no better than this hotel. The Location is perfect in a quite location but so central. The staff was very friendly and the room cleaned nicely every day.
The only draw back that we had that the Hotel was serving breakfast on NEW YEARS eve (Jan 1) from 7AM till 10AM where as I would have expected the breakfast served from 9.30AM till 12.30AM. Altlease with Thistle hotels that was the case because most tourist don't sleep beforelate midnight. << Click here to read less

When we first arrived it seemed to be a good hotel, and we where happy. But the breakfast was very bad, and the staff most unpleasant. I was in line by the toaster, it was slow and the bread was only toasted on one side. A female member of the staff came over and accused me in a very rude manner of turning the different nobs on the machine. I never did such a thing. The second night just before getting to bed we discovered a cochroach in the bathtub.... We went to the reception with it and was told that it was not often this happened, but there were some bugs in the basement. Well, we stayed in room 526, rather high up from the basement. Anyway, we got a new room the next morning. Unfortunately, some of the reception staff were new and didn`t quite know how to handled things. The concierge booked us a taxi when left. I asked for a "normal" London black cab, but he booked some provate company and the driver did not know where he was going so after sitting in the car for over one hour (we were going to Liverpool Street station, which noramlly should take 30 min) we told him to stop and point out which direction the station was so we could walk. That seemed like a better idea after driving towards dead end steets.... Indirectly this was the hotels fault all the time they did the booking of the transport. How was I suppose to know that the taxi the hotel had booked wasn`t allowed to drive in the taxi lane, but had to stand in traffic jam...? << Click here to read less

YOUNG COUPLE, IRELAND
The hotel was more than adequate for what we required. The room was a bit small but as you are so close to city centre attractions not much time is spent in the room. The room was clean and well presented.
The only problem I would have is the breakfast. It's extra for your breakfast and as we were staying 2 nights I would have thought you would get breakfast free at least on one morning.
Overall however, we were very pleased as the price for the room was very reasonable considering its location. We would definitely stay here again. << Click here to read less

Central Park Hotel and its immediate neighbouring hotel were having some major renovation work done at the same time during the period we were there. It was very noisy starting at 7 o'clock in the morning until between 3 and 4 in the afternoon daily while we were there. It was very annoying and noisy, in particular when our room was facing the major renovation work of the neighbouring hotel which is only about 20 feet away with heavy drillilng noise starting very early in the morning. You can imagine how unhappy my husband and I were when we found out about the renovation work. Cramped rooms. Impossible to open minibar door as bed was too close to it. When sitting on loo the toilet roll holder literally touched my shoulder as the bathroom was so narrow. Comfortable beds but no airco. Could not open bedroom window to cool the room down at night due to foul stench coming in from kitchen extractor fans directly below. Reception area also had odour of used cooking oil. (They need to clean their extractors!) TV, minibar, radiator, hairdryer and kettle = 5 plugs, but only 2 sockets provided. The hotel was situated in a good location - close to Hyde Park and Bayswater Tube station. The photograph on the internet shows it in a very good light! It was very grubby. The carpets were in desparate need of renewing - as was the bedlinen! The rooms are very small and the tap in our bathroom was broken. We stayed in the hotel in July during what was a very hot two days. The room felt as though the central heating was still on - particularly during the night! We haven't really stayed in London before so I can't really comment on quality v. price as we have nothing to compare it with. << Click here to read less

I ordered a single room and was expecting a single bed but got a double instead. The location is very close to Bayswater tube station but the hotel is infact in a quiet street. The service was very good and the room was very clean. Yes as written elsewhere, only two choices of cereal. The traditional English breakfast was around 4 GBP and looked good enough although I did not try it. I would recommened the hotel and infact I will booking there soon again. Hopefully the facilities and service will just as good! << Click here to read less

All in an excellent hotel for the price, however the hotel is non smoking (except bar area) and I feel that this should be publicised when booking. Understandably you can't smoke in the public areas but most hotels accept that guests who smoke do so in their room.
Buffet breakfast very good. << Click here to read less

Wasnt much impressed with this hotel. The rooms were tiny. And by tiny, I mean there was hardly walking space between the foot of the bed and the wall. And there was no room at all in the bathroom. It was shower, toilet, basin and thats it. Nowhere to put your toiletries, not even enough room to sit on the floor. There was also construction going on, so there was banging from 9am onwards, so dont expect to sleep in.
I find it hard to believe this place is a 3 star hotel. To me, its 2 star at best. I wouldnt recommend anyone try to stay here. << Click here to read less

Excellent and convenient location on a comparatively quiet street but close to Kensington Gardens and Queensway Underground Station, with many commercial facilities in close proximity.
Maybe the included continental breakfast could have been a little more imaginative, e.g. more than two choices of cereal and a few more varieties of bread and rolls. However, the full English breakfast on offer for ?4 was excellent.
All staff were friendly and helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to others. I intend to return there on my next trip to the U.K. - which will be my third stay at the hotel. << Click here to read less

We were originally put in a room with four single beds and a discarded fridge. We think it was a store room as there wasn't enough room to move with all the neds. But one phone call later and we were moved to a room with a double bed.
The room wasn't massive but for the price it was very good.
The lifts only seem to go up, they don't seem to pick people up on the way down.
Breakfast was good for the price.
We were staying in the hotel for Nottinghill Carnival - it is near enough to walk to the carnival but further enough away not to hear it!!
