Location... The Carlota Apartments are situated in the popular resort of Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria, just a short walk from the beach and shopping centre.

The Carlota Apartments offer guests easy access to all the facilities in the area. The property is located just 0.8km from the beach, 0.2km from the resort centre and only 45 km from the airport. There is a bus stop about 0.05km away from the apartments.

The Carlota Apartments in Gran Canaria enjoys a pretty location, in the holiday district of Puerto Rico and is close by to plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to be found in the vicinity. The beach in between the two harbours is the smaller of Puerto Rico`s two beaches. It is heavily populated with row after row of sun beds and parasols. By far the best beach is just a 30 minutes walk south along the promenade. The sand of the Amadores` beach is pale and fine and has been imported from the Caribbean. The clear blue shallow waters make for safe bathing for the whole family and venture a little further out and visitors could experience the most fantastic marine life sights whilst snorkeling. For those who love to be in the water there are scuba diving clubs and pedalo rides and for the adrenaline junkies, there is jet ski-ing and paragliding. There is something for the whole family on Amadores beach with an abundance of places to eat and drink. With two large shopping centres selling a wide range of items such as jewellery, electrical and electronic goods, perfume and cosmetics, clothes, shoes and every type of souvenir one could imagine, visitors would be spoiled for a choice as to what to spend on.

The Carlota is just enough away from all the noices of the night so you can have a good sleep,but is close enough to walk to the main sho.... click here to readmore >> The Carlota is just enough away from all the noices of the night so you can have a good sleep,but is close enough to walk to the main shopping centre in less than five mins....there is a lot of stepps to get back up if walking but a taxi is only 2.2 euros for those who can't get up them or are a bit tired after dancing all night...the pool is big enough for a short swim with a small section for small children and has a bar open from early to late at the pool side which offers meals and hot drinks plus a little shop for stuff you might need..... very friendly and welcoming staff who help to make your holiday that much better,,,defo recomend it. << click here to read less

The cleaners came in twice and all they did was leave towles in and they were as old as the apartment and brown in colour . There was a damp smell in it all week. << click here to read less

Our apartment was big and clean enough, had big terrace, so we could enjoy breakfast there, although we didn't have the view at the sea, because it was the apartment on the first floor. If you have the chance try to get apartment at the upper floors.The apartments are situated up the hill among other hotels, so you have to do 166 steps, which was not a problem for us. Maybe only when we came with our luggage and we didn't want to take a taxi. There is a supermarket very close on the same street, so you don't have to go down everytime you need something. The pool is quite small and we didn't use it because we could swim in the sea. And the sun probably comes late on this side of the hill in January. There is also a parking place if you have a car but we didn't manage to get it in Puerto Rico so we travel around by bus. It's easier and cheaper to rent a car or a bike in Playa del Ingles cause there are more agencies. Or you should book a car ahead from home if you don't want to loose time. << click here to read less
