Excellent central location for exploring Granada. Alhambra 4 euros taxi ride. We (2) ate out at restaurants in the evening but breakfast was excellent. Room was clean and plenty of space. Very pleasant and helpful at reception except they said due to a conference in town on the day, they could not get us a taxi to the Alhambra and suggested we tried to find one in the streets (which we did) - we thought they could have tried harder. Unfortunately the walk outside by the river is spoilt by the smell of the polluted water - it is more like an open sewer. Overall impression of hotel was very good. << click here to read less

No major complaints, but as it was the end of November and chilly outside, the heating in the room was set too high and there didn't appear any way to reduce it. We overcame this by sleeping with the window open. The rooms were a little tired looking for a four star hotel but in general it was a pleasant stay. The centre of town is a five minute walk away and a taxi ride to the Alhambra cost less than 7 Euros. About 100 yards up the street is a 24 hr. convenience store which is useful for drinks and snacks when everywhere else is closed. Visit the Albacin, Mirador St. Niclas at sunset for terrific views of Alhambra from across the valley, and stay until it gets dark to see it all lit up. Just hop on one of the small mini buses in the town centre, these have a circular route through the Albacin and cost 1 Euro. Wear comfortable shoes, lots of cobble streets and walking to be done. Great hotel for a visit to Granada, staff friendly ; helpfull but it is always better if you can speak a littlr Spanish.The Hotel reception booked our visit to the Alhambra, we were picked up ; returned to the Hotel door.We tried the terrace restaraunt on the roof of the hotel for our evening meal, the ambience was fine the views superb,but the meal was disappointing.However the hot buffet breakfast that was included made up for this.For parking there is an underground car park next the Hotel ; at 13 euros per day is well worth it as on street parking is virtually none existent. We have stayed in the hotel before, and liked the location and facikities. It was just as good as we remembered. Our room was at the side of the hotel this time, and so did not have the lovely views of the Alhambra. The only 'minus' of this stay was that one night there was a function at the hotel, and the noise carried on well into the night. It sounded like they were flamenco dancing right over our head! (We were on the 7th floor, and therefore under the roof terrace where presumably the function was taking place ) However, we would stay again despite this, and recommend the hotel. << click here to read less

One was ready for us on arrival (12 midday)and the other was ready in an hour.Staff attentive and friendly, and able to speak English.Rooms were spacious and bathrooms were modern;well equipped. Our bags were portered to our rooms for us. Breakfasts were very good-lots of choice and plenty of everything. The hotel was in a good position, within walking distance of everywhere in Granada.
