Very nice hotel about 15 mins slow walk back from the cathedral area in the centre of town A pleasant walk even at night with a bit of an.... click here to readmore >> Very nice hotel about 15 mins slow walk back from the cathedral area in the centre of town A pleasant walk even at night with a bit of an uphill climb for the last 300 yards We have just returned and our teenage daughter enjoyed the pool at the end of a day of sightseeing Breakfast was superb all the usual fresh choices and could really do without a lunch after a feed like that Definately recommend it and though there are plenty closer to centro it was a lovely walk back in the evening Hope to return one day soon << click here to read less

There was a good selection of food but the scrambled egg was cooked at 7.30 am and left to go cold. The same applied to the bacon which was left swimming in luke warm fat. The coffee was barely warm and the hot water dispenser for tea emptied and was not replenished. The other major disappointment was the spa. The hotel website is full of information and pictures of the spa facilities but fails to inform you that it costs hotel guests an extra 23 Euros per person each time you use the indoor pool. This is both misleading and extortionate. We will not visit this hotel again. << click here to read less

Our room was fine - good views and a balcony - although there was no fridge which would have been helpful. With the exception of the cleaning staff, however, (who were really friendly and curteous) I thought the reception and waiting staff at this hotel completely let it down. The main reception staff were simply incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful from the outset - my advice, do not work in a international public service/relations capacity if you hate people. As for the breakfast waiting staff - I was asked up to three times a day what my room number was at the breakfast table. In fact, on the 7th day of staying at the hotel, I was approached three times and even asked to write my room number down on a piece of paper. I understand that people from the street could potentially walk in and help themselves to the buffet breakfast - but I do think that if you are served by the same group of people for seven days in a row, they should know your face. I noted that no one else - including my partner who I was staying with at the hotel, was asked for their room number while I was in the breakfast hall. This made me feel as though I was being targetted for some reason (why? I have no idea) and again, I would suggest that it is not great customer relations to make people feel like this.
