The airport bus from into Granada city (3 euros return) stops a few metres from the Carmen Hotel. It is in an excellent position - you can walk to any of the attractions including the Alhambra Palace. The staff are very friendly and the breakfasts are amazing! The bathrooms are well equipped with a good shower over the bath, loads of toiletries and extra large fluffy white towels which are changed daily. This was our third stay there and we can't wait to go back! << click here to read less |

it was a shame the pool was closed until June 14th , but great location Coffee lousy and restraunt a tad impersonal better eating out. But my 9 year old daughter loved the glamour. Anothe Tip catch a coach across the road takes you back to the airport for 3 euro, i(takes 40 minutes), you get a tour of Granda at the same time !! << click here to read less |

For me it was too noisy with a constant sream of tour groups, especially american children on spring break. Our room had frosted glass looking onto a courtyard about 4 metres square and if you opened your window you looked straight into your neighbour and could hear all conversations. This made the room hot and stuffy. the staff were good and helpful. There was a lack of sockets to charge cameras, phones etc. THere was a wide range of breakfast foods except for cereals, imatation cornflakes and cocoa pops are not to my taste. By good location I mean handy for the city. << click here to read less |

The Carmen Hotel offers a very central location in Granada and it is possible to walk to the Alhambra from here (though quite a long and steep one). The rooms are very jaded and require major refurbishment with the furniture well past it's sell by date and the bathroom was not very clean. I requested a room with a pleasant view and the room had a tiny window in opaque glass. When we asked if we could change rooms, we were told they were all similar. This hotel definitely does not deserve it's 4*, and I would not recommend others to stay here. << click here to read less |

Nice hotel, very 80's styling and the marble everywhere makes it a noisy to stay, especially when some genius thinks that 9 am is a good time to do the vacuuming, but the location is great and theres a nice view from the roof terrace. No english TV channels and got a crap view too, but would still recommend the hotel for the price. << click here to read less |

Excellent location. Amazing breakfasts. Very lively, pleasant Pub Bizet on Saturday evening. We were a little disappointed that the roof terrace was not open. Understand that it was perhaps too cool for swimming but would have loved to see the view from there. It was one of the reasons for selecting the Carmen. Nevertheless I would still go back if I need hotel in Granada. << click here to read less |

Great hotel. Location is really good and the room and bed's comfy. Best aspect of the hotel is the views of the city from the roof top terrace. Bar surroundings really nice also. Dont get too excited about the swimming pool as it is very small.. We really enjoyed our stay in Granada - lots to do and see. << click here to read less |

Overall, this was an excellent hotel. The rooms were fine and very clean, although we didn't have a safe in our room and the TV did not have any English channels. The breakfast was good with a large range of food and some hot dishes. The hotel is located opposite a huge department store right in the centre of Granada, and near to the drop off point of the airport bus (3 Euros). We preferred this hotel to the Melia where we last stayed in Granada. << click here to read less |
