hotel was brilliant it was in a great location the staff were very helpfull we had a view of the duomo from our bedroom window you cant beat that, breakfast was disapointing but hey your'e in florence get out and eat somewher else. my tip is book a room at this hote it's cheap and located in the middle of town if your looking for a nice hotel realy cheap look no further

This was a fantanstic location for seening the sights of Florence. The roof terrace was small and you had to ask for a key to open the door but it did give great views of the city. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast basic but adequate. i would come back to this hotel primarily for the location and the price

Excellent location - 5 minutes walk from Duomo. Clean, quiet, medium sized room with air conditioning unit. Above average breakfast - with cereal and yoghurts offered. Narrow dark street with unimposing entrance and 3 storey stone staircase climb to hotel - no lift. Good value for money in Florence.

Very nice hotel for the price. The climb up the stairs is a bit daunting and the thought of that climb puts you off forgetting anything before you leave your room and ensures that you don't return unless you intend to stay for the night in your room! Breakfast a little on the sweet side but good for continental breakfast. Great value for money. Well situated, spotlessly clean. No problems except the steps - all 100 or so of them as this hotel is entirely situated on the top floor of a very tall building!

The Hotel Cardinal of Florence was certainly good value for money BUT two main criticisms. 1. The breakfast was frankly lousy with only soft gooey rolls, dry cake and wrapped croissants + 2 cereals on offer. We would have been happy to pay a couple of Euros more for a better selection. 2. The sound insululation was poor and we could hear the use of the bathroom on both sides of our room as well as conversations
