Asked for a credit card, I handed a debit card, stating that the room had been paid in advance.. the card was debited nevertheless. It was voided straight away, when I explained again. No real issue. The allocated room was on the second floor just beside the lift and as the doors are more of the old kind - the noise coming through was pretty annoying. Additionally, a school class shared the same corridor and decided to party in the rooms and be pretty drunk. A complaint from my side was unavoidable as I was staying in the hotel for an early and very important start business-wise. The bathroom had a few broken tiles behind the doors, where I hurt my foot on, but otherwise, all necessities were catered for and the bed was very comfortable. After waiting a while at the door where breakfast was served, finally someone approached me and I was seated. The buffet may cater for most, however, being gluten and dairy intolerant, it was rather difficult to find anything to eat despite mentioning it at arrival. Staff was not aware about what specifically covers gluten intolerance, and offered me bread... The coffee was delicious and I had huge quantities with soya milk that was specifically bought in for me as I was asking for it the night before. When asking for fruit, this was available as well. To sum it up: all in total an average experience - no real issues and no specific highlights either. << click here to read less

However, you need to catch a bus into town as it is too far to walk. That said, the buses are brilliant and so regular it really didn't matter. << click here to read less
