I was very impressed with the standard of the hotel. Food was nice to say it was spanish food. Location lovely, only mins away from Beach and a nice walk to the gorgeous marina. Definately worth the small price we paid to go 4 a week. Cardiac hill was a bit of an effort to walk up and down all the time but there are ways of avoiding it but it would not put me off going there again. The pool at the hotel was quite big and the surrounding areas of the pool was also big and plenty of room to relax. Sunbeds cost 2 euros each per day but theres plenty of room to lay down towels or lilos instead of spending the money as there can be rather uncomfortable to lie on all day. I would definately recommend this hotel to anybody! << click here to read less |

The Hotel is clean ; the staff are friendly the rooms are clean. the pool was clean ; the grounds well kept the food was good although the choice is limited compared with other hotels.The location is up a steep hill .but fairly central @ half a mile from the marina .

We had a great holiday. We felt the hotel catered more for the spanish holiday makers as the evening entertainment was all in spanish, because of this we went out every night. It would not put me off staying there again as the hotel was centrally located and close to all amenieties such as Bonanza Sq was a 2 min walk, the marina 5 min (downhill), train station 15 min (uphill) and the promenade 10 min (downhill). The hill leading up to the hotel is a bit of a killer but again this would not put us off staying there again. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. We really enjoyed are stay, although it was cut short because of a family emergency (we had to leave 2 days early). The entertainment by the pool and the activities and facailities available for children were excellent.
If I could suggest any changes they would be slight - maybe more beds around the pool area on the grass, and less of a queue for breakfast in the mornings (maybe they should have breakfast over a longer period of time and therefore not as many people would be queuing at the same time) Ive stayed in lots of hotels on holidays and have to say, Hotel San Fermin is up there among the best of them. a very clean hotel with friendly helpful staff, the pool and garden area are superb and very well maintained. Sun beds are charged here at 2 euros a day, not a lot of money, but you could always get one when needed because the 'early morning towel gang' had no opportunity to perform their stupid antics. Be aware that the road to the beach is very steep, great for exercise but hard work for those elderly or infirm. Good food on offer with lots of choice, all in all very good value for money. Only one demerit; the rooms are quite small and storage is minimal, so if you are a bit untidy (as we are) can be a bit chaotic. Have been before will go again, Benalmadena Costa is an ideal holiday location, cosmopolitan and reasonably affordable; try it you won't be disapointed. David Tomlinson << click here to read less |

The enertainment in the hotel was limited, but the hotels location gives easy access to all the entertainment in the bars, all within walking distance.
Need more english channels on the tv in the rooms, other than BBC World.

You are a good 15/20 minute downhill walk from the beach, more on the way back. Our rooms were of an average size but with a lack of storage for two people. I would not like to fit three people in the rooms we were given. Reception staff were pleasent but there english was poor and on two occassions we had to ask three times before we got action on problems in our rooms. We were on B;B and found the breakfast selection poor and the same every day. Overall an average hotel with nine floors in a good quiet position. << click here to read less |
