What a lovely break It was Spanish holiday time so lots of older people, who were great if you wanted to join in with them, The staff were very friendly,food was good and plenty of fruit on offer. Sangria for evening meal which saved on buying wine.Entertainment was ok except for reptile show. personally think they are cruel and uneccessary.The hotel was good without exploiting animals.Good location, a short walk from train statoin which saves lots ofmoney on taxis as it takes you to the airport[watch out if youre disabled]steps up to restaurant and steps down to railway station

I always stay at the Flamingo Hotel when in Torremolinos and have been staying there for many years.....I would not want to stay anywhere else.....one of the reasons is its very central you are in walking distance of all the main amenities buses trains beach etc however the main reason I use this hotel is due to the staff who are without doubt extemely friendly and efficent.....There is not a lot more I can say except if you try this hotel you will know what I mean << Click here to read less

This is probably the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. It was advertised as complimentry car park (which is why we chose it) but this is untrue. There was a thick layer of dust on the display shelf ABOVE THE FOOD, and on our last night we found a cockroach in the bathroom. The All Inclusive deal only ran till 11.00pm not 12.00 like most hotels. When I asked about parking the car I got several different answers, the French guy on the desk just didn't seem interested. When we went to order bar food at poolside bar, I'm afraid it was just too much for the barman. This is a reasonable hotel with all of the facilities a seasoned business traveller would expect. The hotel is starting to show its age; some of the fittings are a bit tired and some are downright quirky, like a recently replaced shower head too big to fit the original bracket, with the result that the only way to use the shower was to hold the shower head in the hand.
Most of the guests when we were there were Spanish middle aged couples and the entertainment was the equivalent of Spanish 60s night, every night.
Drinks and bar snacks are very expensive, but the hotel staff were happy to direct us to an excellent restaurant just around the corner. The staff were friendly but inclined to communicate by a shrug of the shoulder. Don?t expect them to go the extra mile.
For us the main attraction was a modest, clean and perfectly acceptable hotel at a very good rate. Great for a short stay over, handy for the town, but not the base for a sun and sand holiday. << Click here to read less

On the whole this is a good hotel at the price. We stayed B;B because it was cheaper than Room Only. The hotel is in the centre of the resort close to the shops though a bit of a trek to the beach. We ate out all the time as the restaurants are cheap, plentiful and of a high quality. We were told that the hotels food wasn't up to much and we had one bar snack which was okay.
If you are looking for a good all inclusive hotel where you wouldn't want to leave then I would say the Flamingo is not suitable.

Reasonable priced hotel located just off main street. Large, clean room with very comfortable twin beds. We were on the 8th floor which meant the usual problem of a long wait for the lift. No entertainment the night we were there, just lots of Spanish guests playing cards. Sad to say the food was absolutely awful! Myself and my son, who actually lives in Spain and eats almost anything ,could hardly find anything we could eat. The salad was OK but just the basic lettuce, tomato etc. The main couse for dinner looked like it was pork (with it's coat still on!) The breakfast wasn't any better. I never take any notice of reviews where food is concerned as I think it is a matter of personal choice, however I wish I had taken notice of other reviewers regarding this. After say that we paid a very reasonable price for DBB so I didn't mind grabbing some tapas in a local bar! Don't let this put you off the hotel which is very good for the price paid, just decide to eat elsewhere. It may be different in the summer when there are more English guests as at this time of year most guests are Spanish pensioners having their seasonal break. << Click here to read less

The snacks for the AI guests were a plate of crisps or a ham or cheese sandwich. Rooms were clean, food was OK and lots of sun beds. Entertainment was poor as they catered more for the Spanish guests who out numbered everyone else.
We called in to the Gregor Mar hotel one night to play bingo what a RIP OFF. 1 Euro per book but the winners only got a PRIZE which was a Tee shirt and a piece of tat. The Hotel must be making a fortune collecting hundreds of Euros and paying out 10 ? 20 euros.

Ths is the first time staying withing the town of Torremolinos, having stayed several times in the quiet Carihela district. The hotel was centrally located only a couple of blocks from the main shopping area San Miguel Calle. Although the hotel was an older building the rooms were freshly decorated and had lovely wood laminate floors (instead of tiles). The beds were changed frequently and made up daily. All towels were also changed daily and the bathroom supplied shower gell and handwash. We arrived about 3am advised that they had set aside food if hungry. We were treated with wine, water, cold meats and cheeses, bread rolls and other cold foods, tea/coffee/cold drinks. Hotel guests were mainly Spanish but were nice and friendly - no-one running around corridors ets. The food was basic buffet style, but nice. We went on an all inclusive package, however the hotel was a mixture of all inclusive and paying guests, so you can guess who got the better service? The management changed the times of the snacks etc without prior notice and the ice creams for the kids were a laugh(small tubs in one freezer, next to a big freezer full of all the nice stuff you had to pay for). Service at the bar was laughable as there were only 2 staff during the day and 1 of those was doing the snacks most of the time. 3 staff at night but the bar could only comfortably get 2 behind it and there was only 1 beer tap.
Staff were by and large friendly, but you could understand why they got anti brit sometimes with some of the male groups that came through during our stay. Also avoid going any time near a local fiesta as we were there while one was on up the road and to say that the spaniards were pushy to get served as they were all inclusive is an understatement.
All in all our stay was fairly enjoyable, it was the management that let the hotel down and not the staff, but i won't be returning.

We were on the 11th floor and the room itself was okay but very basic - no hair dryer or fridge. Balcony was only wide enough for 2 chairs (width and length). Views were non existent anyway. We were bed + breakfast but was not impressed with the quality of the food. Hotel in need of refurbishment. << Click here to read less

All staff very helpful and rooms are of a high standard, much nicer than expected.
hotel is in centre of all amenities got the train from airport 1.25 euro per person train stop is just round corner from hotel.staff were friendly,food was good only problem we had was pool was being refurbished witch made it noisy sitting by the pool should be nice when its all finished would go back again
