One of the best 4 * Hotels we have stayed at (Quality/Price) would highly recommend to anybody that wants to get out of the coastal concrete jungle.
Only down side is that rooms have no balcony and it's fantastic view situation half way up the mountain means that you really need a car but there is a regular bus service if need be.

more flexability with lunch menu, service times short, evening meal consisted of a set menu, although there were obtions we did not want a 3 course meal every night.tea/coffee making facility needed in the rooms, no drinks available until morning breakfast.this was our 3rd visit and overall the hotel has continued improving, taking the hotel as a whole we were very pleased with our stay and look foreward to our next visit. It looked to us that the hotel was being re-vamped and updated, the improvements so far looking good. Pool area and great sized pool was lovely and the sun beds very comfortable with good shaded areas, but shame about the music which was odd. We only stayed one night, had some lunch in which the order was wrong but the food was fine, the breakfast was very disappointing and seemed poor quality and cheap produce, but the setting and ambiance was good. Feel it will be great when all the improvements have been made. Painting was gong on while we were there which perhaps could have been scheduled for out of season. Overall though we would return. The bedding could be better. The pillows were not sewn at each end so the inside kept sliding out, which we found a little un-hygienic. The sheets were not fitted so we were lying on the mattress most times, which also felt un-hygienic. We also felt that the cleaners wasn't up to scratch. They only seemed to clean the room THOROUGHLY twice in our 1 week stay.
Otherwise this hotel is a fabulous place, the location is perfect, the food was enjoyable and Mijas as a place is just idyllic.
