This was our 3rd visit and it really offers value for money. Good selection of food and nice swimming pool and garden. The rooms are a little tired but you won't be spending much time in there. Reception staff were much more helpful and friendly- perhaps earlier comments have been noted. The town which is a 5 minute stroll, is very attractive. Very many leather shops and bars.

Beautiful hotel in beautiful surroundings with magnificent views spoilt by food which can only be described as diabolical !! served by incredibley rude waiters, with the exception of the cleaning staff whom were very helpfull and freindly.
We stayed in a four star hotel with half board staus, but were forced to eat out every evening due to the disgusting and cold food on offer .When we expored the hotel surroundings there were several paved areas sectioned off due to insecure flagstones, and some fire exits blocked also, we feel that the recent owners TRH group should perhaps take a unannounced inspection , as this hotel is worthy of some attention or, as it is the only hotel in Mijas pubelo are they resting on their laurels? The hotel was fantastic - wonderful setting, decent swimming pool and delicious buffet breakfasts! (Can't comment on other meals as we didn't eat there but the local restaurant and bars were good and varied). We particularly appreciated being able to check in to a room when we arrived unannounced at the ungodly hour of 5 am. Internet facilities were adequate for us but maybe a bit limited for some people. Had a lovely week in TRH Mijas - 2nd time in the last 8 month only downside is that its a shame the restaurant doesnt offer more variety. Had breakfast every morning and this was fine but the same carvery for lunch and dinner every night is a bit boring. Ideal location and for such a nice hotel its a shame not more is done with the area - like beautiful veranda at the back overlooking the coast would be ideal for bbq's and outdoor dining. << click here to read less |

Although a wide choice on the buffets for both breakfast and dinner, the food was lukewarm and quality disappointing. Labelling of the food was poor so it was not apparent what the dishes were. We felt the car parking at 9e per day (now 10e) was high. There was little on road parking available. The location and the hotel 4 star, the food and service less than 1 star. Forget about eating at this hotel and book room only. I had the misfortune of booking half board to find the worst food and resturant service in Spain.
Breakfast is an ordeal trying to get coffee or tea from machines that never produce and running out of basics like plates and knives and forks. The evening meals are a disgrace for a 4 star and cold. The hotel is run on a shoestring. I have travellled all over Spain and my advice is ROOM ONLY. << click here to read less |

My Husband and I had an absolute time of relaxation in this wonderful hotel with very friendly staff exceptional housekeeping and good room service. The small village in the hills was a excelent home for a week, we travled on the very inexpensive local buses and viewed many of the local towns along the Costa Del Sol. The local Spanish resturants served good food, and as my husband likes his full English Breakfast we would recomend The Lemon Tree in the square English owned very clean and excellent food and service. << click here to read less |
