Food was good with plenty choice dining room was spotless, staff helpful. Rooms were comfortable and kept clean by a pleasant maid. Fifteen minutes walk to the railway station and bus station in torremolinos, but there were bus stops outside the hotel on the main road, fares in spain very reasonable, the bus journey up to mijas the best value in spain one euro twentfive for magnificent views and a thrill ride.The hotel was very good value cleaned room and fresh towels every day. the breakfast was good but would have been better if english sausages were avaliable instead of spicy or hot dog variety but thats my problem, theres enough of other things to fill up on. evening meal you can always find something plenty of different meats or a choice of fish, salads were beautifully presented. The hotel also didnt mind you having a kettle in your room or alchohol. all in all a good stay for the price i paid for eleven nights. << Click here to read less

The major complaint I have is that one afternoon I fell asleep after reading my book on my bed and in came the cleaning lady telling me in spanish to get up I think. She was not asking but telling me. I was so stunned and with my limited spanish I left the room. This I found very rude and not expected of staff. The pool is outside and rather cold so be prepared for that. Each night is great entertainment for the whole family with bingo, dancing, parrot show, karoke etc. The staff at reception knew little about how to help me with directions but I managed to find my way around to tourist spots. The hotel was quiet from my room, tidy and comfortable. I wish all a pleasant stay. It's also about 200m from the beach. << Click here to read less

I have stayed at the Las Palomas several times. The rooms are very clean - dialy made service of a high quality. The food is typical of Spain - no michelin stars but adequate for the price paid. The location is great, the buses stop at the door and there is a good service to local towns. I would state that the hotel is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with walking difficulites - there are lots of steps to be navigated to get to the dining rom, pool area and bars. However, If you do not eat in or use the bar then the Hotel reception and lobby and all accessible due to ramps. I would recommend it to able bodied travellers. << Click here to read less

Having visited the hotel 7 years ago, we decided to go back this year. The room itself was quite nice with a pool view, which in fact, was a better room than we had 7 years ago. The entertainment in the evening was very average, the standard of food had gone down hill considerably with very little choice. The only thing this hotel has going for it now is the location, it is central to everything, which is a plus. The hotel is situated a the top of a hill, so not good for people with walking difficulties. I would think twice about going back to the Las Palomas Hotel in Spain, but was quite pleased with the room itself. Our rooms were of a good size and very clean. the only gripe we had was that the air con was either on full(arctic) or off.we tried to get it fixed but give up!The road noise that some have complained about wasn't too intrusive as our rooms were on the road side of the hotel.Overall I would recommend this hotel if you are on a tight budget as it does give you value for your money. << Click here to read less

There is no real provision for parking the car while checking in, which means we had to leave it on the side of a busy narrow and hilly road...
