This was our second time here - it is fantastic value for money and very clean The studios have a microwave and toaster, as well as the usual hotplate the only problem s finding foodstuffs that you can cook! For a better choice, you need to go to the Super Sol (follow signs to the Municipal Market, it's near there).
For those on a budget, avoid the Dutch Pub at the back of the Fuerte Hotel - the Guiness pump is false and if you ask for Guiness you get a can for the magnificent price of 5 euros! << click here to read less |

Location, location, location! Turn right on leaving the hotel for a large selection of bars, restaurants (great breakfast at the Blue Palm!) Turn right and right again for a large supermarket which is just off the main highway Avenida Ricardo Soriano where you will find a selection of shops, Zara, Massimo Dutti, El Corte Inglas. Also 5 minutes from the Old Town full of smaller shops and lovely outdoor restaurants in the main square (great for a leisurely lunch!). Hotel itself is very good for the money, I had a studio apartment wil partial sea view - ask for an apartment at the front if possible. Very clean and well kept, cleaned everyday. Two single beds, good storage, sofa, table and two chairs, kitchenette with fridge, two electric rings and sink, toaster but no kettle (why?), small balcony with table and chairs. Bathroom nice, no bath only a shower. Just come back from 5 days there for #165. Would definitely go back. << click here to read less |

For a second year we spent the month of January at the Princesa Playa Apartments Hotel.The package suits us extremely well: the location is ideal re our family commitments in the area. The hotel is right on the marble-paved sea front - very good for daily walks/runs or whatever, even in bad weather - and within walking distance of supermarkets and shops and restaurants. The self catering side is well provided for, in our studio we had dining table and chairs, electric hob and microwave and everything we needed for preparing meals and eating in. Clean sheets every 3rd day, clean towels most days and more if requested. There is a laundry room with washing machine and when we asked for an iron one was brought to our room + an ironing board and we were told we could keep it for the duration of our stay.
A couple of minor repairs were carried out on the same day.
The heated swimming pool on the roof was a great boon on sunny days; there is a terrace with cafe/bar facilities next to the pool.
One weekend a group of slightly exuberant young men in the next room was politely but firmly reminded of the hotel rules.
This year the hotel showed some signs of wear and tear. However, with the very depressed economic situation right now on the Costa del Sol one cannot expect a major redecoration of the place.
The hotel was only half full during the month of January. This meant a relaxed staff and plenty of space. Will it be like this in middle of summer...? << click here to read less |

My partner and I arrived at the Princesa Playa on 31st Dec 08. We were impressed from the moment we arived. Out of the Hotel and straight on to the promenade and then a few more steps onto the beach. The reception area and all public areas were very tastefully furnished and decorated. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and every member of staff that we saw was very helpful and polite. We had been in our room for about half an hour when a member of staff came to our room with a tray on which was a bottle of CAVA, two glasses and two chocolates and a card from the management wishing us well for the new year. As always we went around the studio apartment checking that everything was in order. A flloor standing lamp combining flexible reading lamp and uplighter had a broken lamp in the uplighter. The three cooking pans had loose handles and just needed a screwdriver to tighten them. When we went out for a walk later we reported these two things. On our return, the lamp had been repaired and the three pans had not been repaired but had been replaced with new ones. You cannot ask for better service than that. From our balcony ( room 106 ) we could look to the left and we had a lovely view of the town with the mountains behind and to the right we had the most wonderful view of the ocean and palm trees. Towels and bed linen were spotless. The bathroom had a marble vanity unit and a very trendy shower cubicle with very efficient shower. Staff were very helpful;gave us a bus timetable to return to the airport and ordered our taxi for the bus station.Will definately stay here again.Ordered room service one morning for scrambled egg and toast and was very good value.
Heated swimming pool and even had a dip in it on the 2nd december;nice but freezin when you get out.
Will return again.

On arrival we requested a sea view room and the reception staff gave us the choice of two rooms from which to choose which we have never had before. We chose the second choice which they considered was the smaller room but there were three of us and it was fine. The standard of cleanliness was very high, the only thing slightly off putting was the lunch time menu available in the cafe, however with ample selection of restaurants surrounding the hotel this did not cause us undue problems.
All in all I would recommend this hotel for families and couples alike, but no good if you are looking for an all inclusive deal. << click here to read less |

Superb location, can be difficult to find by car as signs for Hotel are on immediate access road (one way) the underground car park is a short walk round the corner and is reccomended as the side streets are quite conjested.
Good views from roof top restaurant on 8th floor with a small bar and seating area, breakfast was good quality and selection for all tasts.

We had a very enjoyable stay and were very happy with the arrangement. The hotel's location suited us very well as we were visiting family nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. The walls of the rooms are fairly thin, we could hear each other's tv. I imagine at busy times that could be a problem. The swimming pool on the roof was a real bonus. It's not big but, again, at this time of the year it was very pleasant.

We stayed at the Princesa Playa Hotel for a week at the end of June 2007 and it was a brilliant holiday. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious and had everything you needed. The location of the hotel is very good, it is located towards the end of the seafront, so it makes it quieter at night. It is a nice walk along the seafront to all the bars and restaurants (lots of choice) and it is less than five minutes.
We only ate lunch at the hotel once, but the view from the restaurant on the 8th-9th floor was fantastic and the food was simple and inexpensive but good.
The pool on the rooftop is small and there weren't many sunbeds but with the beach on our doorstep we went to the beach everyday, where 2 sunbeds and an umbrella cost us 8 euros which is reasonable for Marbella.
We also booked a day trip to Gibraltar through the reception at the hotel, which cost us around 30 euros each. A very good trip well worth doing.
We loved the hotel and it's location and would definitely recommend it to anyone who was visting Marbella in the near future.
Overall we would love to stay at the Princesa Playa hotel again and are hoping to go back for a short break in the sun soon. << click here to read less |

We have just returned from a weeks holiday staying at Princesa Playa Hotel in Marbella and we can't praise this hotel enough. The staff are extremely helpful and efficient and the accomodation is excellent. The rooms have recently been refurbished and are kept very clean. The location is just superb-right on the beach and close to the old town. There is a well stocked supermarket just round the corner which was open until 2am whilst we were there. Load of restaurants and bars close by but not too close to cause any disturbance.
