There is a cards room and a television room with a big screen television which has satellite channels. I have stayed a number of times at Palmassol. The hotel's location is superb and the main reason for a stay. You are in the marina which is THE place to be in Benalmadena and a lovely place it is. You have Benalmadena beach a 2minute walk away and a 5 minute walk the other side of marina and you are on Torremelinos beach.
The hotel is clean and staff helpful, hotel looks quite swish outside and reception is nice. The pool and garden are nice too. The rooms are basic, but comfortable, but then to be honest I spend al of my time out on beach or restaurant or pub club, and only sleep there so perfect for me. The hotel was quite nice, the pool area was nice and clean and the staff were friendly - the down side, some of the buildings across the street have been abandoned and left in bit of a mess.
The hotel is on the back of the marina, it takes about 2 minutes to walk there, lovely shop's and bars etc. The beach is about a 4 minute walk.

The room was very clean and well equiped with TV and hairdryer. The room wais slightly dated looking but spacious and fairly secure with swipe card entry. Only one downside is the food was always luke warm and sometimes a bit bland but as we only paid #20 a night H/B i thought that was good value! My sisters and I visited Benalmadena in March 2007 for a short break - 4 night stay. We shared a triple room and found it ample for our needs. The hotel was clean, very close to the Marina, Carihuela shopping and the beaches. Majority of the staff we pleasant and courteous. Roomsnet.com also offered the best price for the room and described the hotel correctly.
We throughly enjoyed our stay and would use again. Read Less

The rooms at the Hotel Palmasol are small but kept clean daily. The food was good but there could have been more choice. As it is now a family hotel the range of entertainment needs to be reviewed and greatly extended to offer more for children. The pool area and gardens are well kept and pretty with adequate space and sun beds for the number of guests, no need to get up at the crack of dawn to put your towels out.The staff were friendly, curtious and helpful.The hotel location is in a side street and there is a building site to the rear and if you are unlucky enough to get a room overlooking the site you will be awake from 8am, also in the early hours people returning from the nightclubs can be quite rowdy. The hotel is only a short walk from the marina which is lovely, very picturesque and lively, with lots of restaurants and bars. On the whole the Palmasol Hotel is good value for money and a good base for a family holiday. Read Less
