I stayed in the Perla MArina from 14th to 23rd June, Rooms net service was perfect with no hiccups, the hotel was everthing I expected, clean spacious room and excellent choice for breakfast.
Two pools are available though the ongoing construction at the seaside made it noisy to use the seaside pool we much preferred the roof top pool in the annex.
We would have no hesitation in recomending Roomsnet and Perla Marina to anyone.

I cannot understand how someone in the management end of things has not noticed how disastrous the evening dinner is. There was no one in the dinning room eating when we were there and we had heard about this before we went on holiday. There was never a menu to be seen that might encourage one to go in and try the food and never anyone around the dinning area to ask. Snack bar also only server very limited food also during our stay which was toasted ham/cheese sandwich, plate of chips and gateau cake. Food especially should be improved. Rooms were very good and cleaned daily which was lovely. Will definitely stay at your hotel again when I hope you have improved the food. << click here to read less |

The area is nice, more residential then the other side (Burriana direction) but an easy 10-15 mins wlk back into the town. there are some nice restaraunts and bars in the area too. 19- 24 November 2008 - We love this hotel, have stayed 4 times over the last 3 years. Situated in a quiet area only 10 minute walk through the lovely steets of Nerja to the Balcon. Will be further improved when the plan to upgrade the rough TRACK that separates the hotel from the sea, into a pleasant promenade-DUE TO START VERY SOON!
The staff are welcoming, warm and friendly nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are air conditioned, cleaned and refreshed daily.
The Perla Marina has 2 buildings. The older of the two, is situated directly on the sea front, brilliant! The other just over the road, also great but not all have clear sea views.
For some reason this visit, reception said the hotel was 'quiet', and the whole of the accommodation in the older building was closed. Strangely we ate in the basement dining room of this old building and here the one and only problem we had became an issue. Compared to our previous visits the food was of a poor standard, very limited choice. You could reasonably enjoy a fair breakfast, but the evening meal!!!!!! Vegetables overcooked and often cold. The deserts consisted of jelly, tinned fruit, banana with chocolate sauce, cake! I write fair comments here expressing the same feedback I have left at the Perla Marina. I MUST mention the one and ONLY 'waiter', sorry i did not get his name, his service and attitude EXCELLENT. Food apart this is a wonderful place to stay. << click here to read less |

This is our second visit. It's an excellent hotel, great staff, good English as my Spanish is non-existent. It does have a bar and a terrace looking onto the Mediterranean. On this occasion we had a room with a balcony, it was the best experience ever. Ideal for couples looking for piece and quiet and a breakaway from all the stresses and strains. Area around is so quiet, no late bars or nite clubs yet within minutes walk of the best restaurants, Chinese, Indian, steak houses, Mexican.

On arrival we were disappointed not to have a room with a seaview so we paid the ?15 supplement extra per day as we did not want to be looking at the wall going down to the carpark. We were given a room on the third floor in the new hotel overlooking the apartments with a balcony ; seaview. This was the first time we have ever had to pay extra for this but it was worth it even if we had not budgeted for it. The carpet in the landing could have been hoovered more oftern, also under our bed had not been cleaned. However I found the staff very friendly especially in the restaurant ; in the snack cafeteria. I enjoyed the rooftop pool but was very disappointed that it closed on 31st September as we were staying until the 6th October. We felt it should have been open for the season. Instead we swam in the sea as the ground pool was very small. Because of the recent storm there the sea was full of debris e.g bits of palm trees etc so I feel the licence for the rooftop pool should have been extended! I found the location of this hotel very good just 10 minutes walk from the Balcon(to stay here would have been too noisy) and 20 minute walk to the bus station for buses to Malaga, caves Frigilliani etc. Also the weekly market is held just behind the hotel. I would have liked more entertainment for non sunbathers/non swimmers like pool table,tabletennis tables,games room etc Otherwise I enjoyed the hotel ; Nerja which has very little High Rise hotels. Provision of showers and public safe deposit boxes after you have checked out means you can get the afternoon on the beach if you have a late flight which is a plus. Dis-advantages are that some of the hotel rooms can be small and poky. Also you can hear outside noise and noise from other rooms occasionally. We had a great room and although we were told we wouldn't get a sea view because the hotel was full we were sitauetd at the side of the hotel and had a perfect view of the sea and mountains. Location was excellent - quiet yet only a short walk from the town centre.
The hotel is situated right on the beach which is fantastic, it also has 2 pools which get busy early in the morning.
Breakfast was delicious too and there was plenty of choice.

We booked a Double room and got a twin room - ( we're very full and only have a few doubles!). Hotel was full of Saga Clients -and a very helpful Saga rep!!!. Room faced onto a back wall ! Car Park under the hotel was very cramped and badly organised. You had to negotiate around the support pillars of the Hotel and even with a small car it was very difficult.The access ramp was very steep and slippery (in the dry!). Dirty glass in the bathroom was left exactly as it was although towels were changed - bedclothes were not put away. Pool was very small (about a quarter the size of the communal pool in our "home area" . And it was empty on arrival- fortunately as it was so small it was refilled for the following day! And the Beach was Grey, very course sand and Pebbles. Not recommended << click here to read less |

| It was a lovely hotel, with lots of spanish charm. Pool was on the small side, but there are so many lovely beaches around. |

Only negative aspect is that the beach on which the hotel is located is very stoney and so we always went to the Burriana beach. << click here to read less |

The Hotel was clean and and within walking distance of the bars and resturants. The beech outside the hotel is poor but a better beech is only a couple of minutes away. The hotel room was clean but very small with only one plug socket which is used for the tv. Overall the hotel was great for a short 5 day break and Nerja was a lovely resort. << click here to read less |
