The hotel was very good and lived up to its 4-star rating. Its situation on the beach is excellent, though it is in very much a residential area so there are no shops, bars or restaurants within walking distance. It was also about five miles outside the town of Estepona. Because we had a car that was not a problem for us. The pool area was for playing rather than swimming but there were lots of beds, lots of shade and it was generally good. The beach was excellent though they did charge for the loungers on the beach but not for those within the confines of the hotel itself. The food in the main restaurant was very varied, Spanish in nature and the quality was excellent. There is also a fish restaurant on site and the food there was also excellent. We also tried the La Grappa restaurant on site, for which we had to book, and that experience was not something we would consider repeating. The entertainment which was provided by the animation team left a lot to be desired. There were not many Brits there, quite a few French, a few Germans and lots of Spanish, which was very much to our liking. All-in-all we enjoyed the week. << click here to read less
