Stayed for long weekend. We got the train from airport to Fuengirola for 2 euro and then it was just a short walk and you were at the hotel. The hotel rooms were clean ; the beds were comfortable. Slightly thin walls but that did not stop us having a great time. It is so centrally located and we were there before the main holiday season. We were bed and breakfast and had no complaints. Would definately stay here again for a short break as it was great value for money. << click here to read less |

Have been in Fuengirola many times but this is the first time in El Puerto hotel,
Stayed there end of January, Lovely hotel but the room was small but grand if you are on a short visit. rooms cleaned everyday, and nice and warm. Breakfast was standard fare and there was plenty of it. Our room on the 7th floor was overlooking marina and the view was fab. As the hotel is round the internal center was open and i would feel a bit unconfortable if i had young children with me. As it was middle of winter a lot of places were closed but there is still plenty of choices. Fish alley behind hotel has been repaved so a lot easier underfoot than when i was there last year. Did not try evening meal in hotel as locally there are so many restaurents and the hotel meal was buffet and i do like table service. Overall a nice hotel, clean with friendly staff overlooking the marina and within walking distance of the train station with a cost of only ?2 from the airport. << click here to read less |

Hotel was very comfortable but the level of noise at night from the street and the disco underneath was unbelievable. We were on the 6th floor and still found it hard to sleep. The hotel staff were uninterested in complaints . Also the lifts were unreliable.
The swimming pool area was lovely and the musical entertainment at night was very good. All in all if it hadn't been for the noise levels at night it would have been a very enjoyable holiday. << click here to read less |

Hotel location was excellent for beach,shops,restaurant, bus;train station.
Service ; staff in the hotel was very good and didn't once here anyone complain and we had 20 family/friends in our group.

My husband and I stayed in El Puerto for 4 nights in May 08. We took the train (Renfe) from Malaga airport to Fuengirola. This cost only ?1.90 each one way and took half an hour. Get your ticket from machine in station before you board train. There are steps to platform. Malaga airport train station is slightly hidden behind the car-hire building in front of airport. Fuengirola is the last stop. When leaving Fuengirola station take stairs/escalators on left and walk towards roundabout with a sculpture on it, turn right and this street will take you to seafront. Look to right and you will see two round towers which are El Puerto hotel.
Hotel is across the road from lovely long beach, marina and McDonalds. Buffet food was very good with plenty of choice. Staff friendly. Rooms spotless. A bit small but fine. We had a room at the back on sixth floor with lovely view over the town to the mountains. Saturday night is quite noisy as local young people gather to have a drink on the plaza in front of hotel. There was no hassle, just some noise. They were gone by 2 am. There are many restaurants and bars near the hotel and the streets off the main promenade are very quaint.
We really enjoyed our visit to El Puerto and would stay there again. << click here to read less |
