Facing the beach in a residential area of Sitges, about a half-mile (8km) from the center, this modern 4 star resort hotel with its balconied front evokes a many-tiered yacht. The interior, however, is designed in a classical Mediterranean style with marble floors and white walls. The spacious guest rooms are comfortable, with carpeted floors, colorful wall coverings, and bathrooms with tub/shower combos. Originally opened &operated as a 2 star hostel, the Terramar was completely renovated in 2003 and now offers a range of affordable budget accommodation.
The hotel is located mere meters away from numerous shops and restaurants in the area. All your shopping fanatics out there can really go to town, while the more adventurous guests can check out the bars and nightclubs in the vicinity. Beach lovers can also visit the beach just 10 meters from the hotel and work up a wonderful tan to make you remember the trip by.
Nothing disturbs the sense of peace at the Terramar Hotel. It stands opposite the sandy Enquines beach and is surrounded by green scenery of 16000 m2 of gardens. Sitges enjoys an ideal microclimate (more than 300 sunny days in the year) which makes it an ideal place for the practice of all kinds of sports. The hotel has a swimming pool, two tennis courts, solarium with lovely sea views of the Mediterranean, table tennis and for the little ones a large garden with seating areas and paths. Behind the hotel there is a 18-hole golf course where our guests can enjoy themselves
The hotel offers 209 comfortable light, spacious, sunny rooms with private terrace overlooking the sea, the garden or the golf club, with bathroom, direct telephone, colour TV, satellite antenna, channel , safety box, air conditioning, central heating and minibar.

The hotel is a long walk from the centre but there is a lovely promenade all the way and a little train which runs every half hour so if you don't feel like the exercise its great. The staff are very helpful and speak excellent english. Breakfast is good. Pool is small so get your beds early if you don't want to go to the beach which is on the doorstep. Tennis courts are in a lovely wooded garden. Bedrooms are very large but the air conditioning is old in some of the rooms. The family room is excellent with two bedrooms a sitting room and two bathrooms. Great for large families. I would definately recommend this hotel and intend to use it again. It cost me less by booking through roomsnet.com than my friends paid by booking direct. However I received an upgrade to a sea view room which I might not have been entitled to at the rate paid. Make sure you ask! Read Less

A very pleasant stay, with excellent service from all the staff. The hotel itself could do with updating, possibly addiing a gym and some functions for the evening. My only concern is they have 1 single duck in the the pond behind the hotel, please could you ask them to get him some friends. Other guests I have spoken to agreed. I would recommend the Terramar to my friends...Regards Phil Padgett. Read Less

Having said that, quality of service and cleanliness were excellent.
You need to be prepared for a walk into the main area of Sitges, but the beaches are excellent. The whole resort is worth a visit. There is a Good train service into Barcelona and strongly suggest using the official Barcelona tour bus when you get there. Read Less

A well established hotel and landmark in the area of Sitges. The hotel was slightly dated, but certainly clean and tidy with the staff being very polite, helpful and most of all friendly. Quite a way out of town, but certainly a nice evening stroll to get into the action. You probably need a car to get the full benefits of the area, but all in all a very enjoyable stay in the quiet time of the year. Adrian Scott Read Less

A quirky hotel. Originally built in the sixties but with features apparently from many years before and also many years after. A strange mix of decor and facilities, which would probably not appeal to anyone a bit fussy, or looking for perfection. However, we enjoyed it immmensely and were amused by the sometimes creaky plumbing, sometimes overdone decor, old fashioned lifts etc. We loved the quiet location, beautiful adjacent beach, and stunning views. The food was pretty good if not first class, and represented incredible value for money. Read Less

Hotel was quite a distance from the main town; decor was pretty dismal and the air conditioning unit was annoyingly loud. The standard was not in keeping with the price overall; on the flip side the pool was good and the poolside restaurant was fine also; on my next visit however I will stay somewhere closer to the town.
