arrived at the hotel at 10.30 am to find the room was ready. we elected to upgrade to a sea view room which was 10 euros a night extra, w.... click here to readmore >> arrived at the hotel at 10.30 am to find the room was ready. we elected to upgrade to a sea view room which was 10 euros a night extra, we felt it was worth it as you can sit on your balcony and have a drink whilst watching the world go by. All the staff were friendly and very polite. The pool area is very quiet no need to reserve sunbeds but you do have to follow the sun in the afternoon. The pool was very cold though. Food in the hotel was a typical spanish buffet, after a few days it was nice for a change to eat out,but the hotel food was very good plenty of choice and always freshly cooked meat or fish. Cambrils is very Spanish, if you want english bars showing football, egg and chips etc go to salou.Some great restaurants along the front abour 60 euros for a good meal with a bottle of wine.Mainly shellfish and fish so if your not a lover of sea-food you may struggle, cambrills is a working fishing port so the food is from the sea to the plate on the same day.would recomend you visit the port at 4 p.m.to watch the fishermen come in with their catch and sort it out in front of you before it goes into the market to be sold. There are some cheaper bars and restaurants behind the sea-front so you can eat and drink cheaper. There is a great market in cambrills old town, think it was wednesday but check with the tourist office along the sea-front. We had a great time and wil return . << click here to read less

Certainly very good value for money and with the added bonus of being totally non smoking. Only slight downside was the railway track to the rear of the hotel but was not to obtrusive. Hotel Tryp Port is more of a business hotel so not too child friendly so would suit older couples looking for a relaxing holiday. We went in November to guarentee a quiet time, the temperature was still in the low seventies so very pleasent. Cambrils is a very nice seaside town, a little more refined than it's neighbour Salou. << click here to read less
