california palace,we have just spent an enjoyable 8 nights there,its in a quiet residential area,5 minutes from the railway station,anoth.... click here to readmore >> california palace,we have just spent an enjoyable 8 nights there,its in a quiet residential area,5 minutes from the railway station,another few minutes will take you to the beach,a bus stop is just a minute or so from the hotel,the food was fine,yes, there was chips every night,people heave complained on the web,im sure there would have been complaints if there were no chips,anyway options were available,pasta,spaghetti, rice,mashed potatoes,getting to the hotel from the airport is easy enough,a bus leaves from just outside the entrance and will drop you at your hotel,and pick you up for your return,?5.60 or ?9.95 return,but dont linger else it will be gone,another bus though will take you to reus bus station where you can get another to salou,for less than ?5,i was quoted ?28 for a taxi,if you intend using the busses a t10 card might be a good idea,yours p hodson* << click here to read less

Within a short walk from a beautifull sandy beach everything was wonderfull.HOWEVER TAKE WARNING! THE RESORT AND BARCELONA IS RIFE WITH PICK POCKETS AND BURGLARIES.I HAD MY WALLET STOLEN WHILST AT BARCELONA RAILWAY STATION, AND FURTHER TO PROCESSING THE REPORTS WITH THE POLICE THE STATION WAS INNENDATED WITH OTHER HOLIDAY MAKERS WHO HAD ALSO FALLEN VICTIM.ENSURE YOU KEEP PERONAL BELONGINGS AND PASSPORTS SAFE IN YOUR HOTEL SAFE DEPOSIT BOX AND KEEP WHAT YOU TAKE OUT A MINIMUM AND IN YOUR FRONT POCKETS. But this all aside we will be returning and probably to the same hotel.Dont be put off by the crime, just be prepared.and do visit Barcelona, a magnificent city and only a 1.5 hr relaxing train ride away from Salou for about #7return << click here to read less

THE POOL AREA IS VERY CLEAN AND WE ENJOYED THE SWIMMING. fOOD WAS VERY GOOD. BEDROOMS GOOD IN SIZE WITH A SMALL FRIDGE. THE BEACH WAS ABOUT 15-20 MINS WALK, LONGER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BUT NICE AND CLEAN BEACH. WOULD WE GO BACK YES. << click here to read less
