The staff were excellent, the rooms clean, the hotel facilities very good. The pools were well supervised and the surrounding area very clean. The childrens entertainers were excellent too. The only difficulty we experienced was the food. There was an abundance of it but the quality wasn't great. I understand the difficulties in providing and keeping buffet food topped up too but there were times when things like croissants and cereals ran out at breakfast and werent replaced in time. Overall though we consider we had a very good holiday at both the hotel and resort.

Hi,We Stayed at the Hotel Sol Costa Daurada from the 15 to 25 June 08 and I have to say this hotel is great value for money, The location isn't great if you want to go to the beach with three kids everyday (about 10 min walk) but port aventura theme park is within walking distance. The rooms were a bit on the small side but very clean with a mini fridge,TV,ect.The bathrooms were again very clean and tiled top to bottom with no mold thank god. Swimming pool area was good too, always sunbeds available and a lifeguard on duty all day. The pool for toddlers is very small though. We went half board and found the food actually eatable. this was our second time going to salou and the first time we stayed in cap salou in a hotel that served what I can only call pure muck, could have even been roast rat(it was that bad), but Hotel Sol Costa Dauradas Food was much better, there was something for everyone on the menu. We found it best to get our breakfast and lunch in the hotel and then go out to a restaurant for our dinner at night, saved a lot of money doing this. (if you want to exchange your dinner for your lunch you have to show your room card at the restaurant door). Price of drinks in the hotel was again very good value, 2.75 for a bottle of Heineken, and less for the local stuff, and there also is a great adult only bar at the side of the hotel a little bit more expensive but open till one, oh yeah nearly forgot kids club isn't great but the girls do try hard, credit to them.

My family and I have just come back from holiday a couple of days ago and we stayed at the Sol hotel costa daurada and we were not let down. Everything was first class. The staff were very friendly,the rooms cleaned every day,entertainment was excellent. They also have a kids club during the day which my children enjoyed very much.The hotel was only a 10 minute walk from Port Aventura.A fantastic theme park which we had a 14 day pass for, from attractiontix and we went as much as possible as the park is huge. The hotel also runs a free bus 3 times a day both to Port Avetura and to the beach which is about a 15 minute walk.We will definitely go back again next year. Joe Mulholland Copenhagen.

The hotel was absolutely spotless, just a bit far from the beach and pubs etc though you could slow walk it in 25 mins. I read that the food was not great from some other visitors - but I couldn't fault it. Choice was excellent and extensive dining times for the late risers and if you were late going back to the hotel. I would go back to this hote

Have used this hotel on numerous occasions and always find the standard to be consistently high.Cannot fault this hotel for value for money.The staff are very friendly and helpful at all times.Will continue to return to this hotel in the future.

Having read some negative reviews I was a bit nervous before going to this hotel. Thankfully it turned out to be an outstanding hotel to stay in. I went with my wife and 2 children aged 4 and 1 yeas old. The rooms were clean and housekeeping came around every day. We availed of half board and being a bit of a fussy eater myself I would again have been nervous about what the food would be like.. Once again this hotel came up trumps and there was so much to choose from at both breakfast and dinner. We ate there every day and never felt the need to try and eat elsewhere. The weather in Salou when we went (may 9-16) was very poor and for the first 2 days we could not even leave the hotel. The indoor pool made such a difference in this case and the kids club which runs from 10.30 am to 1.00pm was good for the kids. when the weather was ok the outside pool is quite large and there is a small kids pool next to it. It is a bit of a walk to the beach from the hotel but 10 to 15 mins of casual walking gets you there. overall i would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay there again when i go to salou in the future

With a young family was a bit nervous being put on the 4th floor, not to mention the slowness of the lifts at busy times. Was waiting 15 minutes on the 4th floor with two crying babies! They don't understand that you have to wait! Other than that the hotel is great!
