After reading others comments about this hotel I wasn't sure what to expect!! But we thought that everything about the hotel was fabulous. The hotel was spotless, the staff were so friendly and kind, and the restaurant was run really well. I know others didn't like being given a time slot to eat at, and being at the same table for dinner everynight, but we didn't have a problem, infact we got to know the people at the tables beside us as a result of being at the same table. We travelled with our 2 kids, (6 and 1 and a half) Our 6 yr old attended the mini club twice and had a great time.Its on everyday except Sat from 4 - 6, and the girl that runs it plays games with them, they do arts and crafts etc, and she was absolutely brilliant with the children. Didn't notice many Children staying in the hotel, but they still have kids pools, a play ground, mini club everyday and a mini disco every few nights. The hotel was approx 2 minutes walk to the beach, and is surrounded by restaurants, shops etc. We would definately return to this hotel again.

After having read some reviews on other websites we were a little worried about out stay at the Michelangelo. We had read that the staff were unfriendly towards the British and food quality was poor. However, we were made to feel very welcome and staff couldn't have been friendlier. The restaurant is buffet style and the choice was extensive and food was of a high standard and all staff were extremely helpful. The rooms were a little basic with regard to decor etc but they were kept very clean and bathrooms are quite large and modern with plenty of hot water! Our only disappointment was the swimming pool. Not very attractive and surrounded by concrete and not many sunbeds, also was in the shade for a lot of the day. However, the hotel is situated a short stroll from the main beach which is kept clean and has plenty of sunloungers, cafes and childrens playgrounds. Would definitely re-visit though not in high season as feel beach etc would be far too crowded at that time.

Magnolia Hotel was very well located, near the promenade and beach. Our room (508) had a sea view from the balcony but I don't think all rooms did. The room was large, with a king bed, sofa and large bathroom. No complaints apart from the water pressure in the shower was a little weak and therefore wasn't as enjoyable as expected. Breakfast was nice, lots of pastries but not much hot food. The pool area was very peaceful. Service at the bar a bit erratic but staff were very pleasant. Pool towels are ?10 deposit and the spa opening times meant that we didn't actually get to use it which was a bit annoying. Didn't have the evening meal but seemed very good value at ?18 for 3 courses. Drinks prices were reasonable. Would recommend.

The Galeon was recommended by a friend as a less pretentious and cheaper alternative to the usual Sitges four stars. It lived up to the hype in most aspects, being both friendly and perfectly situated. The breakfast was great, with a huge choice of food to suit all tastes. The pool area, though small, was a real bonus in this hotel. Free wifi was also very useful, although this was not available in our room (but strong and fast in the spacious reception area). Negatives: not enough electrical outlets in the bedrooms; beds were too big for the room making it difficult to squeeze past; towels were worn; aircon was weak (it was 30oC most of our stay and the room still got very stuffy at night). Some very odd things happened with maintenance ? one day, one of the legs of my bed was removed for no apparent reason, making my bed dangerously unstable ? it was replaced the next day (eventually) but the mystery remains why it was removed in the first place! Handy hint: you don't need to take beach towels if you are staying here ? they offer a daily beach towel service which only requires a 15 euro refundable deposit.
