We found the only problem at the hotel was the standard of the catering inside the dining area, the food offered was generally not up to much of a standard, relying mainly on salads or foods which were not to our tastes, we struggled to find entertaing and tasty foods, we had paid for full board but eat out on three occasions, the food seemed of a low commercial grade more suited to feeding an army, the cornflakes were like cardboard, we never saw a normal sausage, bacon was fatty and undercooked, most of the "cooked" food was underheated to such an extent that a microwave was supplied to heat it up! Oranges on the fruit section were grade B or worse, there was little variety for dessert. The tea/coffee/fruit juice dispensers were crammed into one corner with 500 guests fighting to get anything, and the "fruit juices" were not even real juices, the dispensers for juice/tea/coffee all issued fluids from the previous dipense, mixing everything in a most unpalatable way. We walked out of the dining room on one occasion as there were no tables free, what is the point of leaving the dining room open from 13.00hrs to 21.00hrs, half board guests and full board guests should have different sittings. We wont be returning to HRP, or maybe any of the SERHS group hotels as we have been to another and that also has seen a decline after being taken over by SERHS. << click here to read less |
