The Blue Man Group in Las Vegas

If you were told that there was a show in Las Vegas which consisted of three blue headed bald men performing on stage with various props, chances are you may give an amused grin and walk away. To do so however, is to miss one of the best shows in town.

There is no proper way to really explain the Blue Man Group performance at Las Vegas' Venetian Hotel and Casino other than, that it is wonderfully weird and something which can be enjoyed by the whole family.

The show follows the antics of three quite comical blue headed bald men who use zany musical instruments (such as "Airpoles" and a massive "Drum Wall") blended with visual and theatrical elements which take your eyes, ears and funny bone on a rollercoaster ride. The show also has interactive elements which mean you do get audience participation which is always fun. One more thing, the Blue Man Group performance involves a variety of colorful liquids which can get splattered around, so if you have a seat upfront, don't wear your Sunday best to the show.

Tickets for the Blue Man Group performance range from about USD 70 to USD 122 which may sound steep, but is definitely worth it since you get to see something truly unique. The show runs for about 1 hour and 45 minutes and performances start at 7:30 PM (there is an extra 10:30 PM show on Saturday). Children under 5 years old are not allowed inside.

So the next time you are in Las Vegas, head over to the Venetian and experience things you have never heard or seen before, including three blue skinned bald men!

White Tiger exhibit at the Mirage

With the bright and shiny casinos of Las Vegas seducing you at every turn, it is easy to overlook some of the city's other great attractions, among them the fascinating white tiger exhibit at the Mirage hotel (3400, S. Las Vegas Boulevard). What's more this attraction is totally free so you do not have to worry about entrance fees.

All you have to do is head over to the lobby of the Mirage and there you will find these majestic white tigers inside a protected open air habitat that is impressively built with waterfalls, streams and a rugged mountain like terrain which they seem to enjoy. These extremely rare white tigers are a treat to watch and depending on their moods can be seen playing or taking a nap. Whatever they do they are positively adorable (in a regal kind of way) so definitely bring your camera along because chances are you may not get another opportunity to see these endangered creatures anywhere else.

The tigers themselves are a part of Siegfried & Roy's (the famous magicians) White Tiger collection and can be seen throughout the day and evening. You will be happy to know that it is not the same tigers which are on display all the time since they are continuously rotated with others on a shift basis.

The white tiger exhibit at the Mirage is a great place to take the kids and have a break from the casino atmosphere at the same time. If you want to see more of these majestic (and cute!) creatures then Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat is the place to go to.
