Dining is an activity taken seriously in Costa Del Sol, and in fact all around
Spain, with meals starting early and usually consisting of tapas which then progress into a variety of local dishes and treats that last until well after midnight. Fresh seafood is a staple and is available everywhere in an array of styles and dishes complimented with light vegetables and lots of garlic. The best value for money is usually the fresh fish
dishes, but Costa Del Sol has much to offer with restaurants serving everything from American to Indian. Prices can range from upscale to economical, but the food is always mouth watering and served with complimentary Spanish charm and hospitality.

The Costa Del Sol runs east to west from Nerja all the way to Gibralta, and has some of Europe`s most magnificent beaches including 13 blue flag beaches that are recognized for their high environmental, sanitary and safety standards. The sand varies from blonde to dark and fine to coarse-grained and there are even many coves depending on which part of the Costa del Sol you visit. The Costa Del Sol beaches offer something for everyone with fine tropical weather for sun lovers, an average
of 18 degrees Celsius water temperatures for swimmers, plenty of jets skis and other water sports equipment for enthusiasts and even a number of officially designated naturist beaches away from the populated areas.

Known as the `Costa del Golf`, Costa del Sol is progressively becoming one of Europe`s foremost golfing destinations with its ideal year round weather conditions. With over 30 courses to choose from, golfers are spoiled
for choice with each offering its own levels of difficulty and challenges. One of the best golf courses in the Costa del Sol is the Valderrama in Sotogrande which
coincidentally was host to the 1997 Ryder Cup Championship and inevitably launched Costa del Sol`s reputation as the best winter golfing location in Europe. Serious golfers will
find some world class courses in the `Golf Valley` a little inland from Puerto Banus and Neuva Andalucia. Many golf academies with qualified instructors can be found, and anyone from first-time golfers to those who want to improve their stroke will find them useful.
