With easyJet, the British low-cost airline, planning on cutting down on the less profitable routes there is a fear that other airlines may follow suit which would affect some of the holiday destinations. According to easyJet, as the price of fuel increases and airlines’ profit margins decreases most airlines are forced to cut down on destinations which are not too promising.
easyJet, like most other airline, are examining route networks to find out what routes work so that they can stick to the most profitable routes and also base their flight expansions on these findings. And with easyJet recently launching its longest route, which is a five hour flights from to the Jordanian capital Amman from London, it seems positive of their new business plans.

According to sunshine.co.uk this year there has been a drastic change in holiday patterns of holiday seekers in the UK. The main reason for this is the two consecutive long weekends afforded by the Easter Break and the Royal Wedding.
The poll was conducted due to the rise in holiday reservations during this year’s Easter Break compared to that of previous years. And of the polled Easter Holiday makers this year confirmed that the extra holidays due to 
the Royal Wedding has afforded them with a better holiday option to travel abroad and within the country compared to that of the usual summer vacation. Though it was not clear what the holiday plans during the summer break was, it was confirmed that the special holiday packages made available during the Easter Break made it more appealing to UK holidaymakers.
