The food in the hotel is very basic and the dining room does resemble a school dinner hall but we always found something that we could eat.For the price it is okay however. The pool area is adequate however it never ever gets the sun so you always have to go to the beach although it is only a few minutes walk away. This is the main downside but for the price I paid I was happy with the accomodation and the location is good, the old town is lovely and it is a nice stroll to the new town, maybe 15-20 mins walk through some nice shops and bars. I took a party of people and had 9 rooms's at the Hotel Camposol for 4 night's. We booked this hotel for it's price alone.
The hotel was clean as were the room's, we didn't spend much time there except to sleep, but can only say we were well happy.
The room's were basic, but clean and comfortable, you could get alot worse.
For bed and breakfast at around #11 a night you can't go wrong, and if you expect more than this hotel offer's for that prce your nut's. Read Less

We visited the hotel as a group of 14 on a stag do. We didn't expect luxury by anymeans due to the price we paid and were only really looking for a base with a clean bed. We were pleasantly surprised most guests were friendly as were the staff. The bar prices were very reasonable and the breakfast selection was good as well. Spanish style bacon and egg which was edible, but a huge selection of meats, cakes, biscuits were available so you couldn't grumble really.
As for location we couldn't have asked for better. A decent 20 minute or so walk on an evening took you to some decent beachside bars and another short walk gets you to the square. A 5? trip back in a cab is reasonable as well. Vincents bar which is just down the road is good as well if you don't fancy the square.
For food you cannot beat the Chinese restaurant by the beach. They made 14 guys dressed as old ladies feel very welcome and I've never seen so much food in my life. The meal was worth every penny.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It's close to a beach, basic (but what do you expect for the money), clean and was an excellent base for our time in sunny Benidorm!! Read Less

The room was very small for three people, It appeared that they had given us a twin room and stuck and extra bed in there. There were also only two plug sockets and one was faulty so it was very difficult getting three girls ready to go out for the evening. The room was very clean and fresh towel were provided everyday when room was made up. The pool area was nice but there were no loungers only tables and chairs so we had to spend our time at the beach. I wasn't aware that the hotel was in the old town of Benidorm, I actually wanted to stay in the new town but it was only a short taxi ride away. Read Less

The room was small, smelt of sulphur dioxide, & had no balcony.
The room was tidied but rarely cleaned.
Belongings were moved but not replaced to their orginal place.
The pool was very small with nowhere to sunbathe.
The staff were not particularly polite nor friendly/helpful.
The food was repetitive.
The location was not as described on the web site in terms of locality.
Beach was local & clean.
The hotel was predominantly Spanish & this was evident in the provision of food & mentality towards the 'other' guests. Read Less

Camposol Hotel is a great place to stay in Benidorm. The rooms are very clean and the quality of service provided is very good. The rooms do not have fridges however there is a bar in the reception area of the hotel where you can buy a selection of drinks. Although the hotel is located in the Old Town of Benidorm, it is only 10 minutes walk to the Poniente Beach, approximately 15 minutes walk to the Levante Beach and nightlife is just a little further, approximately 20 minutes away from the hotel. My room had a very very bad methane smell, which made me and my friend feel sick with every breath, when i asked them to move us they refused and said they had no spare rooms, yet when i persisted they managed to find me a new room, which was not really that much better, the only window had iron bars on, if there were a fire we would not have been able to get out. Some of the plug sockets didnt work and the telephone was broke. My two friends room had one double bed when i requested a twin, this would have been ok if they were boyfirend and girlfriend but they were two males..... The food on offer was disgusting and very little to chose from, this seemed to be the general feeling amongst most of the guests we spoke to Read Less
