Been to Benidorm 6 times, best hotel so far, has air con., lovely power shower, our TV even had YTV, as well as Sky News for free, we stayed HB, waiters/staff v.friendly, only went down for breakfast twice, but each time were not disappointed, evening meal fine and the ice cream whippy machine briliant. Our maid was absolutely lovely and cleaned our rooms every day, except one of the days due to having hangover, we asked her not to clean, so she left us all clean towels instead. I was very pleased as when we arrived we were given twin beds and had booked a double. The hotel noted our request for a double room and we were moved the following afternoon of out arrival. The accommodation,restaurant,pool area and reception were all very good.The food although not Cordon Bleu was very good and catered for all tastes.
However the bar in Ambassador II was a major problem. One of the waiters was extremely rude to my wife on 2 evenings,the main barman was surly,the prices were high, the seating was very crowded and entertainment we saw on four occassions was well below average for Benidorm.
The Ambassador's sister Hotel, The Presidente, has a downstairs bar that is the complete opposite, we can truly reccomend it. << click here to read less |

The Hotel is in an ideal location two streets away from the promenade. The meals were lovely everyday and varied (the best gravy i've tasted in a long while) from fish, chicken, cottage pie, lasagne, salads etc to even nuggets and childrens menus.
The staff were very friendly and always said hello. This hotel is right in the middle of all the bars of the new town, so didn't have far to walk back after a late night watching all the fantastic shows. It is however quite a walk to the old town, but must be done at least once. The only downside to the hotel is, there is not enough sunbeds around the pool for the amount of people staying and alot of them were a bit shabby. You have to be up real early to beat people putting their towels on and leaving them there all day. The rules were no saving beds, but nothing was done about it. We were down by the pool at least by 9am but all beds were taken with no-one on them.
Would definately stop there again, but maybe get down before 8am. << click here to read less |

The location of this hotel is ideal for anyone looking for a central base to explore Benidorm. It is situated on the main street which leads to the square but is far enough away so that you can get a good sleep. The Western Bar which is the hotel bar is worth a mention, if you have a family with teenage kids it's ideal. The food at the hotel was ok, pretty much what you would expect from a 3 star in Spain. Some nights the food was better than others but it's quite cheap to eat out in Benidorm so if you don't like what's on you can always head out to one of the many restaurants nearby. The entertainment at the poolside each night was ok too, probably better for families with younger kids but I have to say I didn't spend much time there. The only down side to the hotel was that during the day the pool area is very very busy and if you don't que in the morning for the sunbeds you won't get one but apart from that I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Our aircon broke down while we were there and I reported it to reception on my way out and by the time we came back it was fixed. << click here to read less |

My wife and I have just returned from a week stay at the Ambassador and I can say without any sort of hesitation that each and every member of staff were very nice polite and exceptionally friendly.
We were full board and the variety of food at each sitting was refreshing and tasty with a very reasonable wine list.
The entertainment in the hotel at nighttime was typicle of the Benidorm scene. The act's on each night could also be seen in some of the big name pub's in the area so if you have young children and don't want to leave the hotel complex you can still see a lot of the popular acts . << click here to read less |

this was my third stay at the 'ambassador', which speaks for itself really. the hotel is in a central location, close to the beach, shops, nightlife etc. the pool area is nice and it's clean. only thing is, you will need to get up early to get a sun lounger! although they aren't supposed to be reserved, people tend to leave towels on them for hours and go off all day! the food is very good, buffet style, with lots of choice and as much as you want to eat.

I like the Ambassador Playa, have stayed there before. It's a 3* so people that complain about the food, need to pay more and go to a 4/5 *.
There is always something that you can enjoy at each meal.And more importantly the food is fresh and nicely cooked.
The only downside was, when we arrived at the hotel we were told that we were in Ambassador 2, not in 1. I didnt realise there was a difference, and when we checked in the oldish big guy on reception was not very helpful
We arrived about 2:15 pm, and we had to ask him if we were in time for lunch, he didnt volunteer the information. And we were, so would have gone hungry (early flight) or would have had to eat out if we hadnt asked.
Also we were allocated a room at the back of the hotel so didnt have any sun on the balcony at all, no matter what time of day.
We were charged 4 Euros a day to move rooms, to the front of the pool, but it was worth it. next time however I will request a pool view room , just for the sunshine.
The staff at the hotel, apart from this one guy, were very helpful and friendly, nice people! << click here to read less |

The food was appauling, very bland, very little choice and the same things day after day, we ate out for the last 2 days which was an unexpected cost as we were full board. The floors were being replaced in the lobby of both Playa 1 and 2 so there were workman there both day and night, although the cleaning staff did there best to keep the mess to a minimum there was dust everywhere. We were half board and the food was as you expect at a large hotel not the quality we are used to but always something to suit everyones tastes. The location was god for the numerous bars and clubs but can be quite noisey if at the front of the hotel right up until 5 in the morning. On Saturday evening we had cornish pasties for our main meal which we declined and had to eat out. The swimming pool was quite dangerous being the steps. The hotel is situated on the main street where the english pubs and clubs are. This means it can get noisey on a night. evening entertainment in hotel a lot better than day. the hotel is split into 2 sections playa one and two which both join to share the same restaurant. the meals are all buffet style with evening drinks not included and although the hotel food is nice it doesn't vary much from night to night so if staying for more than a week it would be adviseable to allow extra money for meals out. one negative about the hotel is that there is no lifeguard around the pools. This unfortunalty means that the pools are generally filled with rubber rings and also allows for increased risk to younger children swimming in the deep pool, which we witnessed twice in our holiday once almost been fatal. the location from the beach is ideal literally just one street down, Benidorm palace, mundomar and aqualandia are all in easy walking distance. 7/10 << click here to read less |
