A lovely hotel with great facilities . The only downside for us was that it was full of very pushy spanish pensioners . Getting breakfast was like the survival of the fittest with them pushing to get into the food. Also queueing seems something that they have never heard of at the bar and reception.We will book a predominantly British hotel next time.

The location of the hotel is central for beach, Old Town & directly on English Square. All the lifts in the hotel were in the process of 'upgrading', that being the excuse of having to wait 20-30 minutes to get up & down at busy periods, floors 1-17 main part. No priority given to disabled guests being given ground floor rooms, even as a safety issue. The ground/lower floors in main part & lower roadside anex, floors 1-8 given as priority to the elderly Spanish. The rooms were basic but generally clean, change of towels each day. The entertainment being very Spanish focused as there were still many elderly/retired spanish guests, no English translation. The food was very basic & lacking choice. The gym & sauna were at an extra charge, sauna 10 euros session a little pricey, guests given same rate as outside visitors.

We only spent one night at the hotel. We booked the room on half board basis however when we arrived at the hotel after we drove from Valencia restaurant was closed. We really appreciated to find a cold dinner waiting for us in the restaurant. An excellent service I must say.

The hotel Marina was an absolute delight to stay in. The staff were always helpful and as I was taking my 85 year old mother on holiday, this was most important to us. The food and service was excellent, from the delightful chef who was on hand to produce omelettes to order every morning at breakfast,To the speciality carvery evenings in the dining room, to the bar staff who always remembered our drinks preferences in the evenings. The rooms and were beautifully clean and in fact our room maid was so good I wrote a 'thank you' card in spanish to her when we left.All things considered I would recommend the Marina Hotel to anyone, it is superb!
