For a 1* hotel, some good pluses: the location is in the quiet, old part of Benidorm - very central and easy to get to both beaches/nightlife. The room is basic, but cleaned very well every day - with fresh towels!. A good shower with plenty of hot water 24 hours a day. Food much better than expected (basic buffet - but 3 course meals with lots of salads, fruit, bread and a 'hot dish') - lunch and dinner in another Campasol hotel approx 100 yards from this one. Although it is almost totally Spanish visitors - as UK guests we were made very welcome and allowed to be ourselves. Minuses: lots of noise from other rooms, the kitchen and hotel machinery (bought some ear plugs - and slept well after that). Reason is the building is old and has no air con/double glazing - so all very close to each other, and windows open all the time. All in all - excellent value for money (£145.00 for 2 of us for 6 nights - full board). More >> |
