The Hotel Transit in Barcelona, is just what it says; not a place to spend a long time in, but great for a short visit. My husband and I wanted to spend a weekend in Barcelona to see the sights before going up for a week's holiday in Andorra. We found the location of this hotel just perfect. It is within easy walking distance of the main railway station, Barcelona Sants, while the bus station where we got the direct bus to Andorra is also very close by. The room itself was rather small, but fine for a short two-day stay and very good value for money. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a short inexpensive visit to Barcelona and who is using public transport. << click here to read less |

I have used this hotel three times and have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The rooms are very basic but for one or two nights stay they are very ideal, towels and soap are provide but no shampoo. The room consists of bed,TV, shower and bath,loo, sink, small desk and wardrobe. The hotel is under 5 minute walk from Santz railway and bus stations and only a 10-15 minute walk from Montjuiz, also very close to several underground stations. it was the easy jet of hotels cheap and no thrills.Nothing in the hotel except a reception,we used this to our advantage,it made us get out and see barcelona .The hotel is perfect for location to the bus routes,art museam,olympic village which if your a footy fanis where espanyol play and costs you 25 euros to see tickets to be purhased no later than 4 hrs before a home game .Barcelona is a great place to visit with much to see and cheap to get aroundie 26 euros for a 2 day pass and you get on and of as many times as you like. << click here to read less |

The only upsetting thing was that we did not get enough sleep and rest during our 2 night stay there. The walls seem to be made of paper and you can hear everything that's happening in the rooms next door. To tell the truth, it sounds like a brothel at night. In my short stay at this excellent little hotel in the centre of Barcelona,i must admit i was well impressed!I had stayed there for 2 nights (Nov 13th,14th) whilst i had been out2 The Club Sala Apolo Barcelona 2 c The worlds greatest heavy Metal Band ,Stryper! I was happily surprised with Hotel Transit in Barcelona. I had read several reviews (some not so great) about the hotel so I was expecting the worst. The room is perfectly acceptable if you, like me, are on a budget but desire a private room. The room was very tiny but it had two beds with clean sheets, a nice air conditioner, a small balcony and a decent shower. It was not the Ritz Carlton or anything, but you pay for what you get and I felt very satisfiied. The front desk was extremely helpful and someone was available 24 hours a day. I found it to be an enjoyable 20 minute walk into the city center, and the tube station was quite convenient as well. << click here to read less |

!Hola!I had a a very nice stay. I happened to arrive on St Jordi`s day and received my rose after visiting a centro commercial during the afternoon.
I have only one proposal to make the hotel even better in the quality/price respect.
It wouldn`t take too much money to throw out the creaking metal tube bedframes and replace them with wooden boxtype frames.
Looking forward to use your services in future.

Even though this is a 1 star hotel i can honestly say i would go back, we had read some bad reviews about it and was quite worried before we got there but the rooms were immaculate but a bit on the small side as was the bath but if you are like my husband,friends and i it was only a place to sleep.The sheets are changed every day as were the towels. Basically you get what you pay for,the staff were excellant very helpfull and spoke perfect english which helped as i only know basic spanish.The hotel is located right next to the train and tube station and the airport bus stops at the station aswell. It has many restaurants cafe's etc which were all good as well. The ramblas was only 5 stops on the tube which took us 5/10 mins at most to get to .All in all if your looking for a cheap way to see Barcelona i would go to the Transit Hotel. << click here to read less |
