The hotel is quoted in the 2007 Rough Guide and certainly is in a great location with the accomodation being quite impressive looking in places but our room was definitely not four star quality and was beginning to get a bit tatty. Spent 3 days in Barcelona with 2 days at the Hilton a bit further out from the centre then 1 day at the Rivoli so was close to Las ramblas and was glad spent more days at the Hilton as it was a far superior four star hotel. The hotel staff were helpfull, with the buffet breakfast also a big hit.
The health suite is a must, but take note, once on the ramblas, look out for the 'ladies of the night' as they will have your valubles off you in a blink of an eye!!! Read Less

There was about 10 workmen hoisting buckets up through the stairwell and there was rubble and building work going on throughout the hotel.
