The only drawback was noisy plumbing and because of the hard flooring in the rooms & hallways other guests - especially the inconsiderate ones - were very audible. Reception staff were pleasant, helpful and spoke good english. Location very good just off Plaza Catalunya and 2-5 mins stroll between 2 metro stops. A good value for money room considering the location, size of room & general prices in large, popular cities. I would recommend the Lleo and stay there again myself. Read Less

This is a broom cuboard made into a bedroom and when we opened the curtains our view was the hotel lift shaft, meaning the whole time we never saw daylight from our bedroom which was clausterphobic as it was. Such a shame.

Only negative point was that although the window was double glazed this did not keep out the noise of traffic and revellers during the night. The Hotel LLeo is in a excellent part of Barcelona, if you want to be near the main attractions. The stop for theTour Bus routes was just across the road and the main street The Ramblas was just around the corner. A short walk down the length of the Ramblas took you to the port, where there were some excellent fish restaurants. The Attic restaurant was also good, we ate on the roof terrace, which had a lovely atmosphere to it. Another place worth visiting you if want to get away from Barcelona for the day is Sitges. You can walk to the main train station, which is not far or get the metro. It cost us 4.50 euros each and was well worth a visit. The beach in Barcelona is also good, I didn't except it to be as good, you can get off the tour bus for the beach. Had a great stay and the Hotel Lleo was in a good location. We were at the front of hotel which was a little noisey at night, but we were in a city!!!! Read Less
