Stayed at the Barcelona Princess for 3 nights in April 2009. Was expecting a lot after reading some great reviews and this hotel did not disappoint. Hotel room was on the 21st floor and had some stunning views of the City, the room was large and very clean and with everything you would need for a short break. Not a great deal around the hotel at night time so best to head into the City Centre which takes about 15 mins, and there are tram, bus and metro stops within 2 mins walk of the hotel and it's fairly easy to travel about once you get your bearings. We requested a room on a higher floor as we wished to make the most of the wonderful views and they facilitated us with a room on the 26th floor. Lovely hotel and a nice room - Massive bed!! Excellent views from the balcony (we were on floor 15). They even had a selection of English TV channels! The staff were very helpful. Only a few minutes away from the beach, a 2 minute walk away from the Metro (which is so easy to use). Next door is a massive shopping centre with plenty of places to eat and drink. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. Only downside for me was the additional 16 euros a day to park a car in the hotel car park. << Click here to read less

Views over the city were great from the lifts with external views, but I would prefer the sea view any time.
Metro and tram stations were within easy walking distance and would efficient and speedily transported you to either the Port Olympic or with a chnage to the centre. Both modes of transport were extremely clean and punctual
Tourist bus on the green route (stops outside hotel only operates April till September.
Reviews of the breakfast we read before the visit made us all dream of something extra special , but were what I would expect from a 4* << Click here to read less

The hotel was better than expected. The staff were extremely helpful, and the rooms of a high standard. We were given rooms with a beautiful view over the city. The room was very modern, bathrobes and slippers provided daily, and the mini bar restocked each day. We had breakfast included in our price with rooms.net and again the selection and service were of a high standard. Could not complain at all and have already recommended to friends. Not a central location compared to some but only one minute to the nearest Metro and then only a couple of stops away from the centre which was really easy. Also the tourist tour bus (green route) has a stop right outside the hotel. << Click here to read less

I recently stayed at the Princess Hotel and had a wonderful time. It is very close to a lovely beach and reaching all the nearby attractions is extremely easy with the metro and tram only a few minutes away. The metro was an excellent service and took us to all places of interest. The rooms in the hotel were lovely and were cleaned excellently everyday. There was also a free minibar with water coke etc which was very handy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to barcelona especially if it is during summer time. << Click here to read less

The hotel was perfect....very clean and friendly and was next door to the biggest shopping mall in Barcelona!!!!! Everything you need is here and more! It is a quiet location but only 15 mins drive to La Ramblas with great transport facilities right outside the hotel. The pool is on the 23rd floor and the views are unbelievable and the beach is within walking distance. We loved every minute of this holiday...we cant wait to go back! I cannot fault this hotel although there were no tea making facilities!

The area was about 20 mins. out of town but that wasn't a problem for us, as we wanted a beach/swimming pool break as well as all the other attracttions Barcelona has to offer. Breakfast was great and the city tour bus stops right out side. Nice beach 8min walk away. The Olympic Port is about EUR8 so worth going to in the evening. Superb hotel close to the Forum area which is definitely going to be one of Barcelonas places to be. The new Green route on the tourist buses stops right outside the hotel offering connections with the other routes to explore the whole city. Also tram goes from outside the hotel to the Olympic Port for just over 1 euro. Having stayed in the Eixample district previously, I would go for this hotel again next time - the hotel roof pool on the 23rd floor is awesome as are the views from the glass lifts!! << Click here to read less

This is a nice modern hotel 10 minutes walk from the beach with facilities to sunbathe around 2 swimming pools (v small). There is a small shopping centre next to the hotel. You need to get a taxi to Port Olympico and Las Ramblas (10 - 15 euros). The tour bus runs from outside the hotel. The hotel is situated over the Diagonal Mar shopping centre which is handy and has lots of bars and resteraunts.
