We had an outdated guide book and the reception staff would check locations on computer which we found really helpful. Rooms were small and could hear underground trains occasionally but hotel served purpose. Would definitely stay there again. Read Less

From what we had read before landing in Barcelona,we assumed that the area we picked was not so great,but after getting to the hotel and speaking with the front desk woman,who was extremely pleasant and professional all at once,we realized that some people don't know what travelling is about. The hotel is very well kept,it almost seems new,the room we had at first was one of teh ones the review site Trip adviser talks about,being very small,but even that was a ncie room,the bathroom is huge and the shower is fantastic. We were switched to a street view room on the second floor and with the exception of the train rumbling below every once in a while,which I found quite comforting after a while,it was a fantastic room. The area is close to Las Ramblas,but also very close to everything you want to see when you are in Barcelona. All in all, we had a great time,and I would recommend the H10 hotels anytime:)

Very modern hotel, we had a room at the back of the hotel on the first floo rbut we were still never bothered but the metro noice, which others have mentioned in previous reviews. ps hotel staff very polite and pleasant definately recomend this hotel. Read Less

My sister and I spent 4 nights at the H10 Universitat hotel at the end of May 2007. From check-in we were made to feel very welcome by the staff with a complimentary glass of Cava which was great after our early morning journey. The staff were always very friendly and helpful with directions and booking taxis.
The buffet breakfast was very impressive with a fantastic choice. There was fresh peach and orange juice and plenty of fresh fruit, cereals and hot breakfast. Although we didn't have dinner at the hotel, the menu looked good.
The hotel was in a very convenient location - just a short walk from Placa de Catalunya and The Ramblas and within walking distance of the Goudi houses Casa Batllo and La Pedrera.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the hotel to others. Read Less

We stayed here for a long weekend (Friday to Monday). We arrived at the hotel around 9.30pm and were checked into a small double room. We were two girl friends travelling together and whilst we didn't mind sharing a bed, we asked for a twin room. They were full, but told us to check agin in the morning. when we asked on Saturday morning they moved us to a much larger twin room, with no bother at all.
The rooms were very nice and clean, the power showers were great! The location is great, basically just at the top of La Ramblas, and not far from the main posh shopping street (Passeig de Gracia). There is also a metro stop at the corner of the street, so it was very easy to get around and do things.
The service in the hotel was great (they all speak excellent English) and it is worth booking to have the breakfast. They also provide snacks in the afternoon for free, and you get a glass of cava when you check in! Read Less
