We stayed at the hotel during a 7-day trip to barcelona, partly business, partly pleasure. The hotel rooms are very nice: big room, clean, all facilities, nice view, etc. Hotel staff is very friendly. Breakfast at the top floor is a real threat, I could not imagine anything that was not available.
The location of the hotel is nearby the railway station (going also to the airport) and the metro, so it's really easy to explore the city... if you don't mind taking the metro in the evening... (we did it every evening and it's really safe)

Magnificent views of Barcelona city from large modern windows, especially from restaurant/coffee bar on top floor. Very helpful staff. Easy access to train and metro but too far out to take taxi from bus station. Would have preferred a more central hotel but what we lost in location we gained in quality of hotel. Was very pleased with the hotel in Barcelona, located right next to Barcelona Sants Station. Located 3-5 stops away from centre of Barcelona, which was easily assessable by the Metro. Hotel was very clean, and staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very nice, cold and hot foods most mornings, croissants highly recommended. Would recommend hotel, if you dont mind doing a bit of travelling to and from the centre. The Spa is 6 euros per person for a days use, pool and gym very small but clean and nice, also had a steam room and 2 saunas. Great view from room on 18th floor, building work going out outside but we didnt hear a thing. Cost us 36 euros to upgrade from 9th to 18th. Room came with bath and shower as well as minibar with fridge, hairdryer, tv, cd player, tea and coffee facilities and dressing gown and slippers. Have a nice time. << Click here to read less

This is a dream hotel. excellent service, brilliant food. the view was amazing from the rooms. the rooms were very spacious and cleaned to perfection daily. location is brillian with the metro and train station just across the road. the lesuire facilities cost 6 euro pp per day but they were not crowded and on several occasions me and my boyfriend had the whole pool and steam rooms to our selves. i loved the way the staff treated us like VIP's - we were given robes and slippers at the pool and we were left choclates on the bed. i give this hotel 5/5 and will definately be going back to stay myself. << Click here to read less

Lovely hotel in a handy position a couple of minutes walk from the metro, train station ; the "hop on, hop off " buses. Staff very pleasant ; helpful. Breakfast was everything you could ask for (including cava ; smoked salmon!) - with a fantastic view from the 23rd floor. Rooms were spacious - especially the bathroom . A fair number of restaurants in the next street ; also 5 minutes walk away through Sants station. We are now spoilt after staying at the Torre Catalunya ; won't want to stay elsewhere if we return to Barcelona!

From our first steps into the hotel we were greeted by a most friendly receiptionist, Nuria who was a very charming and helpful young lady. She suggested a view sites to see whilst staying in Barcelona. The hotel room itself was on the 20th floor and it was the most beautiful room with a great view. We also dined in the hotel's restaurant and we had a beautiful evening meal again with great views from the top of the hotel. It was very reasonably priced and we were sorry our stay wasn't for a longer period. We will definitely be back and will recommend the Hotel to our friends and family. << Click here to read less

The staff said I could chnage the next day if a room was available but they did not contact me to let me know. However there is a lot of construction work taking place directly outside the front of the hotel, on 24 hours basis, it was noisy at times.
Breakfast was good with plenty of choice, good quality.
Hotel restaurant was pricy and overrated, you can get better food and lower price from the numerous local cafes.
Room was clean and spacious, good view, toilet/shower to good standard, comfortable bed.

Although not right in the centre of Barcelona, the hotel is only 100 metres away from Sants Railway station, which offers very good services via the metro or main rail lines. The staff at the hotel all spoke very good English and were extremely helpful throughout our stay - advising on good restaurants (nearby ; in the city centre), helping to order flowers for friends and trying to help us locate lost property. Nothing seemed too much trouble.
Initially we were given a smoking room but very quickly, and without fuss, we were relocated to a non-smoking room. The room, which was huge, was on the corner and offered great views from both windows. We had dinner (which was very nice if a bit pricey - but you get what you pay for) in the hotel restaurant one evening and the views were fantastic. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gran Hotel Torre Catalunya and would certainly consider staying there again in the future. << Click here to read less

Myself, my husband and daughter had a great stay at the Gran Hotel Torre Catalunya, Hotel was beautiful, great view from our bedroom on the 10th floor and the views froms the 23rd floor were amazing. Our room had everything you needed, very clean. The breakfast was plentiful and we enjoyed the smoked salmon and cava included in the breakfast. The staff were most helpful at all times and the spa was great. We used the metro which is 50m from the hotel which brought us to our destinations without any delay. This Hotel was nothing short of superb. The hotel room was really spacious and the bathroom way beyond the expected standard of a spanish hotel. During our three day stay we had two changes of bed linen, clean towels ever dayand fresh toiletries daily. Breakfast was excellent but what truly made this hotel exceptional was the friendly and helpful hotel staff. Without exception every member of staff went out of their way to meet our needs. The reception staff gave advice (in good English) on the best way to travel, quality of restaurants and expected cost of taxis etc. Our chamber
maidpersonally delivered a questionnaire with the lovely touch of three
individually wrapped chocolates. I would not consider staying anywhere else

Beautiful rooms with very friendly and helpful staff. We had a room on the 21st floor with a fantastic view of the city. If we would ever stay again, I would ask for the back of the hotel with a view of Montjuic. Less than 5 min walk to Sants Metro and Train station and approx. 10min by metro to Les Ramblas. We walked into town on several occasions which is very enjoyable but you'll need a comfortable pair of shoes. Breakfast at the hotel is very good as there is everything from fresh fruits to croissants to fried eggs and the view is superb as it is on the 23rd floor. There are several places to eat in the vicinity of the hotel and there is also a supermarket at the back of the hotel. You'll sleep like a baby as it is very peaceful and the beds are super comfy. We had marble floors throughout our room. The bathroom had a separate shower room, a bath, a separate cloakroom and two sinks...sheer luxury! << Click here to read less
